I dont think warp would be to hard to solve at least as a concept, in a game like this with no points or competition you could have the clients exhibit a strong trust of each other, so say player 2 hits warp and "desyncs" from player 1 sort of disappearing from their view of the world, they come back out of warp, the clients resync and the players reappear to each other, at least it sounds good to me from a non programmer standpoint. edit: planet positions might be a big issue though
