Currently, there is no way known for me to do it other than take a kerbal out of the pod and ending its "flight", giving one seat left in the pod to rescue a kerbal with. Or you could just strap an empty pod on the rocket somwhere.

My load time is around 15-20 mins. Even tho i dont use many mods and are all up-to-date. (Yes, the loading is very, very annoying. Else i freaking love the game enough to just not care too much about it)
