Talon Aerospace is proud to present its next new Factory model, the new Valkyrie 2/991 - 1. A jumbo liner with the luxury of a cruise ship and the capacity of a true Jumbo class liner at 216 passengers who all get to experience thanks to the placement of the engines quite far on the wings, a smooth comforting flight at an optimal altitude of 7000 metres, where this Airliner will have a range of 4100km at a cruising speed of 180m/s. It comes with the price tag of 355,408,000 Kredits and a few other luxuries for passengers such as hefty stores of tea and coffee and the option for emotional baggage to be stored within the nose storage of the aircraft, something which may allow some of the upper class to even take a vehicle with this aircraft rather than via a specialised cargo variant. And in regards for passenger advantages compared to some other vessels that one may see, it has great views and for the pilots this plane will take off comfortably at about 80m/s and glide decently well, the reverse thrust of its two Goliath engines also provide a great way to slow the plane down prior to landing where the breaks and engines can be used in conjunction with one another to allow for decently short landings for a plane of its weight. They are practically on top of one another and I've tried the wings further forward and further back. Only change in lift I got was when I angled a single section of wing upwards which seemed to trigger lift across the entire wing, same for the tail section as well.

I do full well want to work on it further, again the P is there for prototype. I'm still confused as to how the wings have been acting over a few hours of testing too. Producing either no lift at all or way too much. I mean with wings the size they are it should be a decent glider yet once below 90m/s it just drops.

Talon Aerospace presents the first of its Supersonic designs, the 4/557 - 1 - P A large supersonic jetliner that functions at heights upwards of 23,000 metres and will get you where ever you need to go in record time. Disclaimer : Will not go beyond 2000kilometres. For best cruising altitude during its maiden flight to be delivered to thhe KSP centre for your testing it seemed to find itself best at 22,700 where it achieved outstanding fuel efficiency though its highest speed had been achieved at an earlier 18,500 metres. Warnings that come with this prototype: - It handles poorly, sort of like a brick. - It takes quite a bit of effort to get off the ground - It's service ceiling is not yet known, take higher than 23,500 at your own risk - Careful of landing, it does not handle low speeds particularly well(for reasons I don't know as of yet, I'm not sure I fully understand how the new lift system works when compared to 1.0(which is when I last played) ) Oh and it comes for the price of 92,023,000. Let me Introduce the first of the Valkyrie Series. The Valkyrie 2/126 - 1 Not only is it a little bundle of raw speed but it's engine location and the high mounted wings provides the passengers a great view of the world below from up to a great maximum altitude of well over 6000 metres! Not only this but it comes with a range of 1250 km and the ability to go supersonic for brief periods if needed through the use of afterburners. And comes with the cheap cheap price tag of 1,908,500 for 40 seats! Best range is achieved within the 1700 to 2300 metre range though further testing may be required, thrust for this is recommended at about 80%. If a speed of 305 or so M/S is not achieved thrust may be raised to 90%. Apologies for link issues.

28 Turbos? Woah, well, I got a 12 engined 94.4t Prop plane, which is what was gonna be my original entrance, but I guess I gotta go further now, will most likely begin updating the scoreboards on Monday as well. But for now, heres a quick video of my original entry, which weighed in at 94.4 tons, is 36.5m wide, 27.7m wide and 9.4m tall. I'll be working out the points later, and possibly redoing the system due to this weight apparantly = 944 points alone(alot compared to the bonuses...) Will not be doing the range test, nor do I believe it can carry much, since it struggles a bit anyway in most cases with its current weight. I did intially plan to do a video, but apparantly theres a runtime issue with KSP and my recording software,etc. I have no idea how to solve it, so heres some pictures instead. I've never used KJR, though I understand it in general, I believe its allowed, I will be letting the community of whoever tries to do this challenge, to choose what mods are unfair, though if it is blatantly obvious I will ban it very quickly. -

Thank you for the suggestions, and I do have my own entry, I will refine the rules about mods soon as well, though as it should go, generally unbalanced parts as well as mods like Hyperedit are certainly not allowed. As for my own submission, I will be uploading a video of it later today, if anyone wants to put their own in before then, they can do so. -
The objective of this challenge will be for a competition for 4 category's, which are the following: - Range - Weight - Size - Transport capacity(optional) You can enter into just one of them, or all 4. The points are gained in the following fashion, Range: +1 for each Kilometre you flew before running out of fuel +1 for each Kilometre(1000 metres) of altitude you can achieve before engines begin flaming out. +10 for each circumnavigation of the planet(Kerbin), Polar or along the equator. Weight: +1 for each 0.1 of mass +10 for a mass of over 20 tons +15 for a mass over 50 tons +20 for a mass over 100 tons +10 if your cargo weights over 10 tons Size: +1 for each 0.1 in height +1 for each 0.5 in width or length +5 if its over 9 metres tall, and 25 metres long and wide +50 if your plane is taller than it is wide(weird plane award) Transport Capacity: +1 for each 0.1 mass of the cargo +5 if you can detach the cargo in the air without it self destructing +5 If the cargo lands unharmed There will also be a few bonus ways to acquire points Old Fashioned - Use propeller engines(+10) Gotta go fast! - Go over the speed of sound(+15) Kerbal style - Land your plane backwards(+50) Long range - Your plane can refuel in flight (+25) Where'd the air go? - You went sub orbital(No rapiers or rockets though)(+20) Efficient - Use just 2 engines(+10) Partying - Have a capacity of Kerbels over 50(+25) Low budget - Land on the Island Airstrip at some point(+10) Penalities - How to land for dummies - When landing, end up crashing the plane(-50) Whats going on here? - Your plane loses some parts in the air that are not intentionally lost (like drop tanks)(-25) The camera is dirty - Your plane is a drone(no kerbals) on board (-25) There will also be a set of rules, they are the following: No infiniglide Pictures or a video will be required for proof. Pictures can be taken in hanger, or in flight to prove the weight of a plane and its size, however, there must be a picture of it flying. If you crash the plane and awaken the Kraken, it is only your own fault. No use of the debug console(Infinite fuel, unbreakable joints, etc) The use of drop tanks is permitted, but they do not count as cargo capacity, and so cannot be counted open in that way. The mods that will not be allowed is anything that will generally add unbalanced parts, as well as no mods like Hyper edit. There will be a stock and modded score board, and there will be five separate scoreboards, with 4 for the specialized category's and one for the best overall plane. Well heres my first entry, Hiyakoshishi Mark A, reached around 4.4 mach before it imploded, using far, as the video shows. Using far and I lack the DRE mod. -

land it on water, then take off from the water again, and see how far you can get before having to land.(Anywhere) Rules 1 - No more than 4 engines, lower numbers may be used however. 2 - No RCS. 3 - No Infinity glide glitch 4 - Mods are allowed apart from parts specifically designed for the task.(B9 would be allowed, but ones that give specific parts ment FOR hydroplanes are not allowed.) 5 - Crashlanding does not count(Im looking at you Jeb) 6 - You are allowed more stages, but the count most remain under 4 engines on the entire ship in accordance to rule 1. 7 - Sub orbital is allowed, but going full orbital is disqualification. 8 - Ferram aerospace is not needed but is highly recommended, however if you choose not to use it, you will lose 10 points. 9 - You have to land in the water at some point in your journey, this can be the final resting place of your aircraft or at the immediate start. But you may not roll it down from the runway into the water, then take off. 10 - No parachutes. Scoring system. For every 1,000 meters you manage to go upwards, you gain 1 point. For every 5,000 meters you go forwards you gain 1 point. Flying around the world earns you 10 points.(Stacks, so flying around twice gives 20 points and flying around 3 times gives 30) For every Ton your aircraft weighs, you gain 1 point. Once you get into the howitzers and stuff, I got a suggestion for the calibers of many weapons, 40mm,45mm, 47mm, 50mm, 57mm, 75mm, 76mm, 90mm, 94mm, 100mm, 105mm, 107mm, 110mm, 115mm, 122mm, 128mm, 130mm, 150mm, 210mm. Based off the size of many guns used or designed in WW2. And then for larger ones that could be used on Space craft, 5cm, 6cm, 8cm, 10cm, 12cm, 14cm, 16cm, going up on twos all the way to 100cm (aka one meter) A idea for the turrets is they are made of parts and have to be assembled. 1. Turret ring, the base of the turret (rotation) is placed on the ship. 2. Turret itself. Is put on, can vary from small to large like the rotater can. 3. the elevaters in the turret, also varies in size. 4. the guns are placed in the elevators making a fully functional turret. Number 1 could possibly be removed, but it is a idea. Custom armor plating could vary in size and be curved or angled as well. -

guess i roll out a larger outdated plane i have it carrys about 6-16 tons of bombs on the wings still working on its bigger couson which will carry the full 30tons its got 8 engines and its quite large its also got a back landing gear to stop the tail exploding when you take off it can carry more bombs its just the places from them that you got to find PS do not place the bombs on the engines -
got a massive plane that i think i can convert for rescue missions mainly cause of its MASSIVE range and reasonable speed craft file is here as well see what you can do with it

time for the vampire mk3B to roll out since the old one seems rubbish compared to all these no planes its fixed its take-off problem quite well each bomb weighs about 20-3.5 tons and it flys pretty well its ment to fly like a dive bomber and come in to drop its bombs in a slight dive 5-40 degree angle but can come in steeper. i got a other plane coming out soon its going to carry atleast 30 tons of bombs and reach a speed of 150 M/S -

im making a second version of the Vampire mk3 called the vampire mk3B its made up of more parts and has a improved landing gear lay out also the bombs are equiped to fly inwards below the hull from the wings no more missing cause the bombs are to far apart i be posting the file and picture soon probably on thursday. good luck all with your bombers and fighters PS. its designed to glide a good distance without engine power -

it is held up its when i try to pull up the front lifts up and the back goes down and well crunch the back is gone i fixed it by adding further landing gear further back i also have nasas computer cause it only lags durring takeoff with over 160 parts for the vortex '_'
