Hello, Is it at all possible to force anti-aliasing via Nvidia Inspector while in OpenGL with a similar performance hit to running normal anti-aliasing outside of OpenGL mode? If this is the wrong sub-forum, my apologies. Thanks.

Get Simcity 4 if you want a good simcity game that has decent looks. Simcity 2013 still has the always on DRM and the total simplification of things. With that $20 you saved pick up some other game(s). If you have a decent PC/console and are a person that enjoys difficult games that don't hold your hand at all, grab a copy of Dark Souls. It's fun if you like "hardcore" games, I've sunk plenty of time to it, it's a lot of fun. If you get it for PC get a gamepad, because controls are designed for consoles, as it was originally a console exclusive game.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.21 Discussion thread
Sputnik-1 replied to blspblackdeath's topic in KSP1 Discussion
N-no, it's just a somewhat badly constructed sentence. .21 is in QA and no features are being added to .21 now. Until we see the release of "1.0" or beta .01, the development and adding of features will not be ending. -
Nope. Even after they opushed back their DRM, the PS4 is still more powerful and cheaper and doesn't come bundled with a camera that's going to spy on me.
-
Oh, just leaving a comment, I wouldn't use mechjeb until you've been to, say, Jool. Mechjeb cheapens your experience, in my opinion.
-
It was done in photoshop, by hand, I think he said a couple posts earlier. *** This is very nice artwork, this deserves more attention. No color shifted anime girls present.
-
Gimp is basically free photoshop.

What future Mission Reports will hopefully not look like
Sputnik-1 replied to Astronomer's topic in KSP1 Discussion
this is disturbingly weird what -
To land, follow retrograde down. you should be burning at ~2km from the surface, safe touchdown speeds are under 5 m/s The Mun rotating isn't the cause for your horizontal rotation, it's you just getting out of an orbit where you were heading sideways. Also, I'd really recommend not using mechjeb, it's worth it to learn how to actually play the game.
-
But this thread is about community and development simultaneously. More specific, the community's undoubtful effect on the development.
-
The passion and stubbornness is good and bad at the same time. Good because it means we love this game, and bad because it means we love this game.

Welcome maxmaps, and thanks for listening to all communities

KSP has the best community I've ever seen. Let's keep it that way.

How is this white knighting? Explain, please. Or are you informing me that the fellows I responded to are white knights? -

That's the problem. Everytihng HAS been positive. Anything "negative" is disregarded. So you're disregarding "Let's Not" as a "troll post?" That makes a lot of sense, since there are valid criticism and worries. -
Thanks for tidying up.
-
Although I did not read this (as it's a huge block of text), I did skim over it and you have some very nice points. Mind making a tl;dr version?
-
Stations constantly adjust their orbits to STAY in orbit and to avoid debris, and constantly rotate to always be "facing" prograde.
-
Yeah. I don't have the link to the thread, but it was complaining about spaghetti wobble and a few people began to defend it as a feature because "kerbal engineers aren't too good"
-
@AmpsterMan I did not say "this game is like minecraft," I said that the way this forum is working currently that it worries me that it may turn into another minecraft (Half-assed features and broken promises with arguably the worst community out there, that defends every misdirection and shoot down criticism and refuse to admit things are wrong) You guys seem to not understand what I mean by "another minecraft." Re-read the post a few times until you understand what I mean. An additional comment about the forums in general: Don't say "oh no it'll be fine this game is not as accessible" it really is, especially with everyone using/recommending the use of mechjeb, and defending it as "real life astronauts use computers" and "it removes tedium"
-
You missed a key word: TURNED. Shrike - your post is huge, so I'm not going to quote it. You missed the point of what I meant about turning into another minecraft Not that it's a commercial success, as in the money changed the game. Not as in Dwarf Fortress is on a pedestal, as in minecraft strayed from it's vision. Again, people missing points. This is trying to get us to make a change to stop glorifying and blindly defending devs and shooting down criticism.
-
This. iirc a company, not sure if it's the same, listens to their playtesters but fix the issues in a different way. I.e: "Movement speed is too slow, make it faster" and instead of changing the speed, they increased the FOV to give the impression of you're going faster It's a neat thing.
-
It's a thing that's lingering way too long, and is the excuse for things being wobbly or in shambles.
-
If I recall correctly, the wobble from connections between parts was labeled as a feature because "it's so kerbal" along with being able to crash into UI elements before it was fixed mid .20 development. There's more, I just don't have too many references in my hand currently that I can think of.
-
It was. Take a look around, I'm sure you could dig up something about it.
-
I believe so too, I have faith in the devs. However, the recent dev cycles have been worrying.
