  1. Some realworld ion-engine powered probes. They make 'em pretty small. http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/spacecraft.asp http://www.isas.jaxa.jp/e/enterp/missions/hayabusa/index.shtml http://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/SMART-1/SMART-1_factsheet
  2. KSP conducted two more successful deliveries of station sections to Sky Can II, consisting of the Scientific Instruments Mast (SciMast) and an Automated Fuel Tanker Mk I (AFV Mk I, my smaller fuel tanker). I may send up one more Crew Transfer Vehicle to fully populate it, but if I can't get the persistence file to transfer, I may just leave it be and start the latest version fresh (I was waiting for some mods to update, but it looks like one may be abandoned). Heavy Lift IA delivering SciMast to SkyCan II Heavy Lift IA Departing SciMast attached, with instruments activating Tomford inspecting SciMast instruments AFV Mk I on approach to SkyCan II AFV Mk I docked with SkyCan II
  3. So here's SkyCan II, my second station. Since getting the sections to Mun orbit is not as easy as getting SkyCan I into Kerbin orbit, I decided to scale back the size. Have a few more sections to deliver, but this is what's up there right now. Main Docking Junction Attached SkyCan II With Main Docking Junction Delivering Solar Array Mast Solar Array Mast Attached Heavy Lift IA Departing SkyCan II With Solar Array Mast Still to do: Scientific Instruments Mast, 2 Automated Fuel Tankers, 2 Crew Transfer Vehicles, Full Crew of 6 Kerbals
  4. A Kerbal's eye view of the Sky Can I as it is approached for docking. More fun with ladders in orbit. Well, maybe not so fun for Patbart.
  5. The SciRover Mk II-M, my first rover on the Mun. Here it is investigating a Munar Arch.
  6. I've just been doing full throttle the whole time, with the exception of mainsails which I dial back a few ticks to keep the overheat bar from going past about two-thirds full. So I guess I've been running inefficient launches the whole time. Not surprising really, my entire space program can be summed up by the word inefficient. I don't think the Kerbals care.
  7. Sky Can I All stock, assembled in orbit with docking ports. All launches, rendezvous, and dockings flown manually. Currently has two tankers docked at one end and a crew vehicle at the other. And with all that extra battery power, I like to keep the lights on.
  8. Two more habitat modules with docking arms added to Sky Can I. Mostly complete for now. The expanded Sky Can I lit up on the night side of Kerbin. My first lander probe on the Mun. And my first one on Minmus.
  9. Sky Can I gets an additional habitat module and some docking ports. A small tanker was decoupled and deorbited to make room. Sky Can I lit up on Kerbin's night side, with the Mun visible in the background. Jeb seems very excited by this antenna. Bob lost his keys to the airlock again, so Mac is taunting him through the station's command pod window, which makes Bob unhappy.
  10. My first station in 0.19, as I lost my 0.18 saves. I still call it SkyCan I. Basically just separate modules brought up one at a time and docked together. Currently includes habitation module, fuel tankers, solar array with battery pack, scientific and comms mast, and a reentry vehicle. SkyCan isn't finished yet, so I may update soon. Bob doing his thing on a ladder hanging off of SkyCan I. My first probe to Minmus with a distant Kerbin in the background.

  12. I joined the forums during 0.18, and my account got deleted with the others. I had stopped playing for a while, but came back for 0.19. So hello again. Looking forward to posting some images from my current space program.
