  1. How the hell should I be transferring the fuel that my ore outposts are producing? The best I can come up with is a rover that has a claw which drives back and forth between the two, but I'm terrible at making decent rovers.

Has anybody come up with something more useful? I think it'd be cool if I could make a landing pad that, once landed on, was capable of refueling a ship. No idea how I would go about this, as every ship's design and height is different.

My take is that Squad should introduce some kind of kerbal-operated fuel transfer hose that can be hooked up to fuel tanks from ship A to ship B.

  2. I don't know if this has been said yet, but another way that the current LV-N's could be considered as "cheaty" is that they use regular old LiquidFuel, rather than actual nuclear fuel. Most of the time, this probably wouldn't make a big difference (unless the use of real nuclear fuel requires certain equipment, weighs significantly more, etc.), but could be considered an unrealistic benefit to ships that use other regular boosters, since you can transfer the fuel between these without a problem.

  3. 1. You could add a small probe core in the correct orientation on the rover and either make that the parent part, or manually right-click it once in-flight and select "Control from here."

    2. You can move kerbals around and place them wherever you wish before launching by selecting the third blue tab at the top (next to the one for action groups). Be aware that due to a bug, the positions you set might reset if you go off to do something else afterwards. Only swap them around once you're ready to hit the launch button. (This bug might've been fixed in the .24 update, I haven't checked.)

    3. It'd probably be easier if you were to include the craft file so we could tell you how to make your ship more efficient/cost effective.

  4. A friend mentioned it in passing on a Minecraft server that I regular, saying that it was finally on Steam, and, since anything involving the word "Space" instantly grabs my attention, I immediately went to see what it was.

I had the demo for maybe ten minutes before I bought the full game. Here we are, 329 game hours later. All I need is a return trip from Laythe, Eeloo, and Eve, and I'll have landed everywhere (except Jool, obviously) and returned safely.

  5. I have a rather large ship that I'm trying to refuel in orbit (by a large refueler) and I've spent at least half an hour forcing the senior docking ports to nuzzle each other, yet no lip-lock. I had them as close and as aligned as humanly possible (I'm being completely honest in saying the only way they could've been MORE perfectly aligned was if they were actually docked), but they refused to dock. What I'm asking for is some way to either edit a file to make it so the two ships are docked, or a way to mark the empty tanks I'm trying to fill up as full (again, in the persistence file or whatever). This is ridiculous.

  6. Brand: DannySwish Incorporated (I built it :3)

CPU: Quad-Core Intel i7 4770k 3.5GHz (Stock clock, might bump it up someday, but the temperatures didn't please me when overclocked)

GPU: Nvidia EVGA GTX 780 Classified 3GB

Storage: One Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD (Space is at 40GB and going down all the time, will need another at some point and will run in RAID 0)

RAM: 2x8GB 1866MHz Corsair Ballistix Elite

CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i with dual Noctua 120mm NF-F12s

    Age: A couple months old

Notable Peripherals: BenQ XL2420TE 144Hz Monitor, Razer DeathAdder 2013 Mouse

Cost: $1600 without accessories, $2000 with accessories. Amazing how cheap it is to build your own over buying a brand like Alienware.

  7. Well, you CAN dock with something sub-orbital, it's just that you'd have to make the space station also sub-orbital. I had to do something similar once around Moho to rescue Jeb. His lander didn't have enough fuel to get back into orbit and was falling back towards the planet, but I managed to dive in with a rescue craft, dock, and re-establish orbit before crashing. It was the first successful docking I ever did, actually. (#pro)

  8. -video snip-

So... Ogden 'Oggy' Kerman broke into the studio while everyone was asleep... and recorded this Valentine to Jeb's Girlfriend... Yeah..

Yours better get selected, it was friggin' hilarious.

Edit: Oh, just found it on Twitter. Congrats! :D
