I don't use nodes to get to the Mun as there is simply no need so do what i do and burn when the Mun comes over the horizon and then you should get a encounter

May I present to you the Racoon. The Racoon is a rover with a room for 13 crew and there is also room inside the Racoons belly.You can access the inside interior by climbing through the Racoons butt crack. The Racoon can also travel in water and has a jet engine in its tail for water related travel. There is a cycle for the kerbals so you have to wait a bit to see Jeb again and to change the type of rocket or rover etc etc right click the command pod and click rename ship and then you can change the name of your ship and the type of ship its classed as.

You could try rotating the multi-port once or twice and then try adding the ports and if not could you upload some pictures???
