  1. Sake, i missed this by one day. Anyone know where it will appear next?
  2. Afternoon space travelers, Do you think KSP will run on mobility 4530 graphics? What would you recommend as a minimum laptop graphics to play ksp? (im looking at 2nd ebay deals not new stuff) Thanks
  3. Im not sure that a dotted line counts?. Successful attempts must have that funny marker that says xxxx escape. Isn't solid blue line where you are going at the moment? So your actual trajectory? Not a fictional one. Edit: ive actualy done it. You dont get a sun escape marker so forget that, but you do get a solid blue line. So i dont think yours is valid francesco tbh. http://www.flickr.com/photos/93755067@N08/8745081014/in/photostream/lightbox/ how do i embed an image on here? Also giggle yours is in orange so thats another fail. (isnt it?)
  4. Well done giggle. You can see im total noob at this. Yeah good idea box. Lets change it to "Sun escape with fewest parts" btw how do i embed pictures on here?
  5. I wouldn\'t - you might end up with hold-outs waiting for a sale \'next time\'. The game is well worth $15 - it\'s the main reason I haven\'t forked out 45 for Diablo III. High praise indeed! $15?, where can i buy it for $15?
  6. Ok so having landed on the mun i started playing around to see how far away from the sun i could get with the capsule. Not even sure if this is possible but using demo parts only (i.e. the demo) see if we can achieve a "sun escape" trajectory. Best effort so far 167.6 million km. Which in the real solar system is a bit further out than Earth. Post your efforts in here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/93755067@N08/8704838433/ Challenge updated (as it was far to easy!) to "Sun escape with fewest parts"
  7. Have managed 167.7 million km from sun, still a long way from sun escape. Does anyone know if this is actually possible to achieve?
  8. Im ok for rockets thx. Have been playin around with it & have managed to get 74,000,000,000m from the sun. 74million km. I'm wondering what it takes to get a sun escape vector? A massive amount of thrust i guess.
  9. Found the problem, a stray brace was holding a movable flap to the fuselage. doh. Made it oh yeah!. Jeb is now standing outside his pod on the surface of the mun. Only problem is i cant control him ? somehow i have clicked elsewhere. How do i regain control of Jeb? I want to move him to the horizon so he can view the earth. Also we have lost our final stage during the (amateur) landing so Jeb wont be returning home for his heroes welcome .
  10. Made my 8th attempt tonight. Built rocket as per Scotts guide. Almost made it but ran out of fuel coming into land on mun . I think i must be wasting fuel with inefficient vector changes & i need to leave earth exactly due east. Each time i launch on a scew i have to burn to correct this. That said with each attempt im getting closer to a successful landing & more familiar with the interface/controls. Plus i learn something new on every attempt. Addict is the word .
  11. Thanks So im in a bit of a situation. I've approached the moon from the wrong side after getting to far ahead of it, ejected my last stage to find i just have a pod left :/. Im going in hard @ 300m/s, can i use the little thruster thingy's on the pod to save me??. Altitude is less than 10k. Im thinking my little kerbin is soon to become an ex-kerbin.
  12. Hi, I have tried a few times but run out of electricity & cannot control the ship on its final insertion manouvre (@ mun). Someone mentioned solar panels but demo has none. Any other known method? Thanks
