  1. I don't think Squad has any obligation whatsoever to cater to requests for release dates. You're talking about a game that hasn't released yet. You're playing stable development builds, essentially. These will constantly rewrite parts of the game, break things that used to work, and create new things that work even better. I'm sure Squad has some sort of internal development cycle, but with such a small team and budget things are likely to constantly be in flux. Just a friendly reminder that you paid money for access to early, alpha-quality development builds - you did not subscribe to regular updates to a finished product.
  2. He floated away due to the force from pushing the other astronaut into the airlock.
  3. I've been playing KSP for a while now, and I still haven't landed anything beyond Duna (and even that was a single kerbal lander with no return). I spend most of my time in Munar orbit and on the surface designing kethane mining operations. I've never even launched anything beyond Duna's orbit. I've got a satellite set up for Jool for the first time, but it's another 38 days until the launch window opens.
  4. I think you may have missed the humorous tilt of the OP.
  5. An "interesting" movie, for sure. I went into it with very little expectations, and I was not disappointed. If anything, it could have been longer, with more detail given to the characters and the mission. It's almost as if the plot existed solely to rush towards the inevitable conclusion (which was about as surprising as the sun rising). I don't fully appreciate the scrambled chronology for this type of movie either - just play it front-to-back and it'd have been a better flick. That said, the set design was great, the attention to detail on the "space" stuff was really good, and Sharlto's performance was stellar - albeit far too short. Recommended, but it's not the next sci-fi classic in my opinion.
  6. I'm loving the Egg! I think I'm going to borrow this idea to create an army of drone drills to scatter about the general area. I think I'll design a hyper-efficient fuel tanker to visit each one before returning to Munar orbit, however.
  7. I run FAR, so the fairings get a great deal of use and I think they look incredible (I used them even before running FAR). I've found, however, that anything I launch that's big enough to require the 3.75m fairings is already fairly aerodynamic (due to command module or something similar). Fuel tanks on top of rockets can just have an aero cone attached. I'm sure the time will come someday though - possibly soon as I'm getting into kethane mining...
  8. Certainly possible. I was just attempting to translate the conversation. I use KW, but I don't think I've had to use fairings that big yet!
  9. English, please people. I believe what Darth is hinting at is that you need to look in the parts files for the KW Rocketry pack that you installed, find the specific folder that contains the 3.75m fairing, then open its "part.cfg" file in something like Notepad (or equivalent Linux text editor). I'm not sure exactly what the part is called, but generally they are named similar to their in-game function. In that file, add a new line that says: rescaleFactor = 1 Save the file, then restart KSP. Check to see if the fairing now fits properly. I'm not a modder, so I'm not sure if the "rescaleFactor" value is the correct one, but what I read seems to point in that direction.
  10. Back in 0.19 when I first started playing, I had a successful first-ever Mun landing (no return was planned) that safely touched down with between 1 and 2 units of LFO left. This is back before I knew what RCS was...
  11. I have an SSD and it still takes quite a long time (2-3 minutes on startup, and I have a few dozen mods). I see very little difference between my SSD and the RAID0 I used to use. I'm sure there's room for improvement somewhere in the loading code - but hey, that's why it's not finished yet.
