  3. Thanks for your helpful reply. I agree with you that it should be a struggle to use the fuel creation system. Whats funny is a lot of people say to use mods which make me think that you are wrong and a few other things too. Plus you wasted you time because after your first sentence I stopped reading what you wrote. As for the people who actually took a second to be helpful. Thanks. I want to find a full vanilla way of doing this. As for the person/people that suggested to bring the drills down on low gravity like minmus, I'll have to try that. Im not sure why I locked myself to testing on the mun.
  4. Hey guys. Im not sure if there is another post somewhere about this but I have some questions about creating fuel. I keep hoping that squad updates the system because it seems pretty useless to me right now. I understand how to mine for minerals and how to convert it to fuel but without some sort of hose or transfer system what the point. The only option is to.... What? Fly the minerals back into space? Have all the digging and converting parts on your main ship and land you main ship? Try to dock on some sort of mineral digging converting platform that is meant to just sit on the planet? Two of these waste more fuel then you can make and one is just stupid. Am I missing something here? If so can someone please inform me.
  5. Well now that KSP is out on PS4 I figured I would let people know my first thoughts just in case you are on the edge of buying it. Pro list- Its KSP. Its a great game and it allows people without a PC to play on consoles. If you have a vita you can also to share play which i did and its pretty cool having ksp on the go. The text is small but the game it playable. Con list- You still use a cursor to build ships and it moves really fast. You can slow it down but at the lowest settings I still thinks its a little too fast. There is no custom controller setup. If you don't like what joystick rotates or which button is the throttle you are out of luck. There are too many things you need to press and not enough buttons on a controller so pressing triangle on the controller slows time and brings up a menu with more action buttons. Button layout is not intuitive. The game is definitely slower than on a decent PC. As expected- Building can be a little difficult. Especially if you are used to playing on PC. Clicking a part jumps it to the center of the screen which took me a long time to get used to. Again this is after just a little while of playing. I will try to update more once I get a better feel for the game.
  6. Hey guys. Just wanted to let those know who are waiting for console release of KSP that it will be tomorrow for PS4!. The other lame consoles ;-) will come a few days later. Woot Woot!
  7. PS4 Announcement I know that have mentioned it in passing in a couple devnotes and testing and stuff but they said nothing about a release date. They had a devnote yesterday and I guess didn't find it important information. I was just wondering why. Ya I know it was announce a year ago but hardly any more information has been given. And while I understand there are other people out there the fans on the site deserve to know as well.
  8. So I just saw that Squad supposedly announced that KSP will be releasing on PS4 in July. Strange thing is that I read this on Gameinformer.com and not anywhere on this site. While I havn't searched every corner of this website I do read every weekly blog. Whats with all the shady goings on with this company of late? Also while I doubt this would ever happen for loyal fans who have supported this game for so long but a coupon for like 10-20% off would be a nice gift. I plan I buying it for consoles as well but would love to not have to pay full price twice.

  10. I was wondering if there has been any announcements of future plans that I missed? Before the latest update I though they were talking new parts, a new satellite system and multiplayer. I stopped playing for a bit hoping to find a new game experience after 400 hours (Which is not much to others on here but still alot) to find that the year long update didn't do anything.
  11. Im playing on windows and in flight if I click on the contracts tab it will either stop the game for a few seconds while it loads or goes to a grey screen and says not responding. Not a once in a while thing either.

  13. I put a download link up. remember its the first version and needs lots of work. I have only had it work with light crafts so far. Oh ya and there is an issue with the rcs block and it needing to be put on in a certain direction. i will put info on that at top of page too in a second.

  15. Let me say first this is the first plugin I have ever made. I'm not sure if there's another one out there that already does this or if anyone will even like it. I also want to say thanks to the people on the forum who were a big help with some of the questions I had. With that said what I created was a plugin that goes along with a part that currently is using the RCS Block model. For each of these parts that are put onto the ship a box spawns that has two sliders. The first slider controls the amount of thrust upwards and the second slider controls drag which help to stabilize. There is a bunch more that I want to do with this plugin but I don't know how to do all that I want. Things I'd like to add or fix- 1. More Stability 2. Ability to lift heavier crafts with no issues 3. Make all sliders in one convenient box 4. A new model for the part 5.   16. I have made a plugin that once added to the ship at launch a gui window will appear for it and it will have a slider to change a variable in the plugin. Is there a way that I could have a window spawned for each time the part was added (if the part was on the ship three times you would have three windows and three sliders///// or even better one window and three sliders). I would also need each slider to correspond to the certain part or at least a different variable. thanks in advance edit - went on to IRC and someone help with the answer. i just had to make the windows have different id numbers so a new one would spawn

  18. have a box and inside the box have a text box that the user can enter in a number and click a button and the variable will be updated. or something like that.
  19. So I have my plugin setup but I would like to add a few more things. One of the variables in my plugin I want to be able to change in-game. can someone help me with this please.
  20. thanks. i will try that out. edit--- just had a chance to try that out Mihara and it worked perfectly on the first try. Many thanks. Now the last thing I need to figure out is drag/dampening. Basically im looking to slow the ship down if it meets certain requirements.
  21. thanks for the help. but going back to the gear issue. I dont really need to know how many landing gears the ship has just if the light on the top is on or off. (or should the gear be up or down) also any tips for speed dampening would be awesome.
  22. I am making my first plugin. If I wanted to set something in an IF Then statement based off of how far from ground I am, what class would that be in? also where would i find current state of landing gears (true false). edit-- ok i found vessel.altitude and height from ground. they seem to work fine for what im doing. i still need to find where landing gear state is located.
