I love the parts pack, but I have observed the same performance issues some others have mentioned. When these parts are used in the VAB sometimes when dragging one of the parts the game starts dropping frames pretty bad. And on seemingly random occasions the game crashes when launching a ship with these parts. My PC specs are:

Core I7 3770k

16GB RAM

Radeon 7970

Windows 7 x64

These shields are amazing. I have been wanting to build a solar observation station for a while now, and this pack is going to make me accelerate those plans. Especially I you come out with a nifty habitat/viewing module. Keep up the fantastic work!

I had the exact same problem, but I got it working. No amount of waiting would fix this for me. I had an old version of the Kethane mod installed, and thing like the b9 aerospace pack that use a lot of .png files. Once I fixed the Kethane mod with the .20 compatable version and went through my parts and deleted a few extras that I didn't need it fixed the ISA mod. No lag or hanging at all now. KSP still has some very serious memory issues, even after the .20.2 update.

I though that was only a problem with 0.21. This problem started for me in 0.20. Also, every other thing in the game works for me aside from a vessel with the ISA mapsat dish.

In case it is a compatibility issue with another mod cause the freezing I'll list the mods I have that we're listed above as well. Maybe it can be tracked down to one in particular.

All are updated to the most recent version available. I would say that since mechjeb and Romfarer bothe use plugins they might be the most like culprit. I've had issues with the Romfarer plugin before in earlier versions of the game, but not with ISA.

I am pretty sure with this new build the default option has mapping off unless you activate it in the mapsat GUI. Regardless, the vessel will simply not load at all. It's not just a little stuttery with a FPS drop, it cause KSP to lock up completely and no amount of waiting helps. I've used this mod for a long time and never had issues until KSP .20.

Thanks for the response. I tried what you suggested and left it sitting for several minutes with no luck. I checked my cpu usage and it was barely above 50%. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. The ISA parts load fine in the VAB, but when you launch or load a ship that has the ISA parts on it the game hangs as soon as physics load. I even tried putting the dish alone on a probe body with no luck.

I'm having an issue where if I load any vessel that has ISA, about 3/4 of the time the game locks up completely (program bit responding) and I have to use the task manager to force quit. I'm running Windows 7, have the latest dev build of ISA for .20 installed along with the needy versions if mechjeb, lazer systems and remotetech. I did a fresh install of KSP, so I know there are no old plugins or parts installed.

I'm having the exact same problem with dishes no longer pointing (connecting) with each other. When I try to activate the dish, nothing happens.
