  1. Yes just came here to say this exactly. Went through all my Mods one by one until I found it. It is only on the bicoupler, I only had landing gear on half of my plane when I tried the adapters.
  2. I keep getting a Center of lift that is right of center when attaching wings to the Bicoupler and both the short and long adapter. Anyone else getting this? I have seen many designs working well attaching wings there, so I am thinking it might be a problem on my system.
  3. It will take forever, and it should you have to bleed off a couple thousand meters per second... that is a lot of energy.
  4. A lot of times issues like that are caused because the center of lift and center of mass are very far off. One way to combat that is to use smaller tanks and transferring fuel around in the tanks to balance. Another way is to plan for that change of weight by starting with it out in front of center of mass, then it will move back. When entering the atmosphere get your PE around 30km you will aerobrake well without falling too quickly. If you do get out of control cut your power get control by going nose down. Then apply gradual throttle until you are flying level again.
  5. It is a very strange request to ask developers to release a beta of an alpha. We are getting the least bug filled version of a bug filled uncomplete game. We are very lucky as it is. That being said, there are parts of me that wish the new versions came out with far less build up. There is a lot of fanfare for every update, mostly fan driven but Devs do it as well, that at times will make it very difficult to play the game at the current version. If not difficult than with an undue measure of longing for features that seem just slightly out of reach. As of right now every time I see my control surfaces flutter like mad or I travel to the mun; I honestly get frustrated that I don't get C7 and Harvester's great work. I am by no means saying that there should be no build up at all, there just comes a point when you can oversaturate with information. Almost like over watering your lawn.
  6. Yes you guys are right! I am the idiot of science, I have no idea what I am talking about, and I should not even be allowed to talk. Now that is out of the way I am going to CONTRIBUTE to the conversation. Looking it up further, as just a private citizen you can get licensed to get rocket engines up to O class by the time you are launching stuff that large you are looking at tens of thousands or more into the hobby. You have to take tests, it probably costs money, and you may also have to have a certain number of launches of Level 1 and Level 2 rockets(Other licensing levels). You also have to get permits to launch, and file reports after successful, or failed launches. O class engines are not that big either, I think I saw 8000lbs of thrust(Science fact so probably wrong, peanut gallery?). I could not find anything on launching larger class engines; I suspect that if you are in the group allowed to launch them, you probably know how to go about it.
  7. Ok not LE "Orbit" correct but for all intents and purposes what this gal(pardon me) wants, and on the cheap(Comparatively).
  8. You can get things to LEO yourself fairly easily with a weather balloon. This is a guy David Windestal who is flying an RC glider back from space: You can also search for videos of other people sending computers and such. All you need is FAA permission which is not hard to get for sciency stuff.
  9. There are heavy elements in asteroids that are not found readily terrestrially. Elements such as lithium, platinum, and iridium. These are also elements that are becoming more important in our technology driven society. It may be that in order to have any large scale advancement in space we would need to take advantage of those resources. I for one would like the idea of a post scarcity world, where technology is cheap, disposable, and well cheap.
  10. You can use previous versions on Steam as outlined here. Also you can turn off the auto update feature on a specific game in Steam.
  11. Are you using a 1.x.x version from the Spaceport, or a 2.x.x beta from the forum?
