  1. That looks awesome. Have you tried making an An-225 carrying a Buran?
  2. I'm not really sure if this is the right place to put this, it's not an Add-On itself, but it's to do with an existing Add-On. So I was messing around a bit with the textures from TextureReplacer and I thought I could give two Kerbals a head skin that would look at least a bit like Jesse and Walter from Breaking Bad. With the plan to stick them up in a space station. (By the way, I checked the license before actually doing this, it's under the terms of the MIT Licence.) I ended up with these: Considering it's my first time working with textures, I don't think I've done too badly.
  3. Ah, okay. I run quite a lot of mods as well so it might be that, I never seen it happen on any of Macey Dean's videos and he ran on a vanilla game. I don't seem to have the problem with ship parts sinking anymore, it's only with Kerbals really. I haven't actually been everywhere yet, but from those I've been to it's anywhere with an atmosphere.
  4. Thank you! Do you know what causes the sinking? Thanks, again. I'll edit the original post so that it has the imgur album like that.
  5. No, it was solid land and it happens on Kerbin too. The only places it doesn't happen are planets/moons without atmospheres and on the launchpad, airstrip/runway and the roads linking them all.
  6. Hi, I recently completed my first landing on Eve with two Kerbals and a rover. Unfortunately, it is very likely that it was a one-way trip so I may establish a base in the future. It was both a success and a failure.
  7. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcReAwaNTSRkAW0iqen-UzncpYg_AZcFoVURl1TqZa0SZD43OSNc I'm DreadZombie, and this is my favourite post on the KSP forums.
  8. Currently I take off and slowly raise my prograde vector by slowly edging the nose up further by a few degrees each time. So I'll basically be climbing at the max angle that I can still accelerate at, until I'm at a height that is just under the spaceplanes limit (which so far has been roughly 10-13km). Then I tend to level out so I'm flying relatively flat.
  9. When you say excessive, what engine to intake ratio (roughly) do you mean?
  10. Hi, If this has been asked before please delete this thread, but, I couldn't find anything. No matter what I try, I seem to always have the same problem with spaceplanes. I get to around 16km-19km and I get jet flame outs. I add more intakes, change jet engine types, all that I can think of, and I get no luck. How do you build your high altitude atmospheric Spaceplanes? What tips can you offer?
  11. Ah, I knew the basics but I'd thought that it was just the fact the centre of thrust was in front of the centre of mass that was causing the problem. Anyway, thanks for that, you've cleared everything, I'll just have to check the design again and adjust it to fix it.
  12. Is making a stable/good spaceplane where the Centre of Thrust is in front of the Centre of Mass possible? If it is, how would you make it? I ask because I've recently been using the Firespitter mod pack to make a plane, on which the propellers are on the front of the wings, similar to WW2 bombers. This makes the COT in front of the COM. I'd also tried to make the COL slightly behind the COM. The plane, however, wants to pull up and then refuses to pitch down again. (If it does, it's only slightly.) I've made sure that the COT is in line with the COM but this still didn't seem to work. If pictures are needed, I'll post them after the next time I get on KSP.
  13. Ok, thanks again. Could you link me to the full showcase when it's up, please?
  14. Thanks for that, I'd love the craft file. Does it have MechJeb on it, currently?
  15. That's awesome. What instructions would you give on getting that to LKO?
  16. I thought I'd start this thread to get some inspiration for an SSTO I'm trying to make. I haven't made an SSTO as an example but the closest I can think of is from one of Macey Dean's videos, the HDF - Marine Transport: Basically, what I made this thread for is a ship that... Other than the pilots in the command module, carries crew in the command chairs inside some form of cargo hold Uses something like RCS to nullify the relative velocity, or is able to dock with a space station. Using either or all of these; the B9 Aerospace Mod, TV Aerospace and stock parts. Preferably a large or medium spaceplane.
  17. I'm having the same problem as the quote above. How can I fix this?
