  1. After the gazillionth failed launch (trusses keep giving up ) I did get a nice touchdown with my sturdy crew. In the afterglow of their near-demise, the light shun brightly upon the rocket's broken parts.
  2. In my area in the Netherlands (top north) thats called Inbred. Small villages (300-500 people) often mix and mismatch.. :S Some even look like Kerbals!
  3. I posted this yesterday in the off-topic section. Figured it was a better place than here. But maybe not This is the list on Spotify I listen to. Spacey electro ambient: http://open.spotify.com/user/keatsha...Uj49fSp2UOfawo Sorta like the two soundtracks of KSP, but móóre!
  4. This is my Duna mission aerobraking on a nice orbit. It looked really cool as the sun came over the horizon with the moon already in view. It took three attempts to get the right altitude for a proper brake. (11 km in my case)
  5. Hellø fellow Kerbaloids, I want to share a Spotify playlist that I often listen to while playing KSP. Its a great mix of electronic ambient and instrumental music. Check it out: http://open.spotify.com/user/keatshandwriting/playlist/21J20PgNUj49fSp2UOfawo Got any good suggestions yourself? I'd love to hear them!
  6. I've read the Red Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson. Its a very elaborate story about the colonization of Mars, spanning several centuries. I don't know if there is an audiobook about it, but its worth the read! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_trilogy If you think about colonizing Duna, this is a great read whilst you cruise towards Duna in 1x speed
  7. Surely there must be a clever way to do it in VAB? For me it sometimes works best to first do 1 side, then alt+click it to copy, then drag to the other side and use the QWEASD keys to flip it the right way. Then I add the bits that only go on one side.
  8. Hi! First post here. Been playing KSP for a few weeks and browsing the forums for equal time. You sound like a great community and I'd love to pitch in. So far I've been spending days trying to get stuff into orbit (and successfully landing a HOME habitat on Duna!) but now I want to expand that base with a rover and other fun stuff. I spotted an anomaly on the map and want to go there! I try to think of how I'm gonna land the rover most efficiently without getting too massive. I try to build frames around the payload that decouple when I've landed, but it just becomes a big block and I think I could improve on that. Should I launch the rover vertically? Or maybe in parts? What are your designs for getting those vehicles out there?
