Don\'t even need engines.

They weren\'t modded, it was just the first version they were added in, they were quite a bit stronger. And it does drain in under a second, it just makes you go insanely fast for a short time.

How is my fuel empty then? And how am I at the end of the runway? The craft is simply a cockpit, RCS fuel tank, and a hundred or so RCS thrusters placed on eachother, its pretty simple to make. Edit: hmm, was an old screenshot and rcs thrusters have been nerfed a bit, it only reaches 600ms or so now..

The MET timer doesn\'t start counting until you leave the ground, so if it had started, it wouldn\'t be a land speed record.

Well, you said LAND speed...

I went one step further and tried it without using the navball either. Perfect landing! Just rolling away a little bit... To home! They ran out of fuel while trying to get home, though. Anyone want to try with no interface at all? (hit f2 before launch)

You can get a negative periapsis by using abusing time dilation, is this allowed?

Unfortunately changing the time dilation to 2x made it promptly fall over, despite staying stable for several minutes beforehand. Used nothing but RCS this time, but had an engine on the back to make it easier to see where I was landing.

I keep SAS on, use no RCS, thrust upwards slowly and tap the direction I want to go in. This gets corrected by the SAS quickly, but starts you drifting sideways a bit. Lots of really short key taps. I keep my speed under 10m/s at almost all times.

I was trying to see how many ships I could fit on the water tower, and realized it would be fun to try landing on other ships: Try not to knock your stack over, or keep the engine burning against another ship for too long!
