  1. TO VIEW THE IMAGES, RIGHT CLICK ON THEM AND CLICK OPEN IMAGE IN NEW TAB HI gentleman! Today i present to you, my latest endeavour: The K2-Koyuz (The capsule displayed is called "Kerminology") The "K number" stand for it's development stage, this being the seconds generation. Features: A fully working launch escape system Powerful launch stages and orbital boost stages A docking port behind the detachable launch escape system to dock to the Space Station KIR-1 Fairing around the capsule and boost stage (jettisoned between launch and orbital boost stages) A decent amount of fuel to de-orbit and change orbit as well as ample RCS fuel for manoeuvring and tweaking orbits, as well as docking A jettisoning capsule capable of landing Pictures: Video:
  2. Indeed good chap, one of these days I jolly well must crack on and make a death star on this kerbal space program electronic entertainment program thing. I bid you good day!
  3. Hi chaps, good weather! Last night I was having a mooch around with missiles, i am sure you have seen the Bristol Bloodhound I came up with the other day, and i thought what i need is a design from the "Reds." Only problem was, almost all large ground to air or ground to ground missiles were on wheeled or tracked launchers. So seeing as I cannot do tracks in this game, i chose a simple design, the SS-21. The original range of the real-life missile was around 70km for the first variant but nevertheless I think that 7km in-game for a single SRB missile is not that bad. I attempted to put internal guidance in it, i now realise that SRB's don't allow the electricity to pass through them to the canards, I also realise that i should have added more battery packs to the launcher to sustain it's range (in terms of duration.) Anyway here it is, please do enjoy it, and any feedback would be appreciated! Cheers! SamGaming
  4. Hi guys! Me Again. This time, i bring to you the U3 DragonFly. With a large delta wingspan, and two powerful turbojets to power it along, the U3 is at the cutting edge of kerbal technology! It even boasts a twin-cockpit configuration which allows one brave and possibly idiotic kerbal to pilot it, and one to operate the camera systems. If you have not figured it out already, this plane is based of the U2-"Dragon Lady" which is also a photographic reconnaissance aircraft. Anyway enough beating around the bush, time to watch that video! See you later guys! SamGaming
  5. Hi guys, me again! This craft is from about two months ago, I was having one of my crazy brain-storms and saw that SpaceShip Two had completed a successful burn again! I basically started with the parasite air/spacecraft, i then built the mothership attached above it. It took a lot of testing to figure out the best way to be able to get the maximum Delta V out of the configuration i had chosen. BUT FINALLY! I triumphed and the air/spacecraft is capable of getting into at least a 300km circular orbit, the parasite aircraft has, and can, complete a full un-powered landing but unfortunately in the first publicised flight it crashed dramatically. The mothership is redundant after "dropping" because it is un-piloted and unstable on it's own. It usually floats harmlessly back to the sea a few km in front of the KSC. P.S. Work is starting on a "SpaceShip Two" and will be shown publicly within a few weeks, i am tied up with coursework and exam revision but yes, it will make an appearance soon! See You Later! SamGaming
  6. Hi guys, my first thread, oh how exciting! Right, lets get started. I was reading a book the other day and thought that there seemed to be a lack of a certain craft in the forums, a missile interceptor! The design was based heavily on the Bristol Bloodhound Mk2, which was a missile which intercepted high altitude bombers (or was planned to.) The Bloodhound was based on the preliminary missile tests which were carried out from the Thunderbird missile. The missile has been out of service since 1991. The Mk3 and Mk4 variants were planned to have a small nuclear warhead and a mobile launch platform, respectively. The video/or link leads to the video of the "Blud-Hound" during tests. It reached a record height of 1,000,000m in height. Although this is far below the range of the actual Bloodhound, which was 185km (roughly 185,000 metres.) Enjoy! SamGaming
  7. When you are in control of that specific capsule, on the bottom right of the screen is a display of who is in the capsule, it has to be manned however and the only way to see this box at the bottom right is to be in control of that capsule.
  8. lol, i like or as the russians would say "da i dig" or the germans "ich liebe das!" yeah..... very humourus
