Thank you all for the replies. I had no idea how to recover these flights so I just made a lot of science doing so. thanks for the tips. edit* i dont see a way to change it to 'answered'/

I'm still learning about this science update. I have had a number of flights that I have transmitted science for, but in the R&D lab I still only have 1 science. Admittedly, I haven't recovered any of the flights (because I'm not sure how) bit I thought if I successfully transmit the signal that it would still count as saved science. All of the flights have landed within the close vicinity of the launch pad. Thank you!

structure tips for a space station start

As it would happen I accidentally clicked on 'end flight' rather then 'space center' and so I wont be able to test just yet.... seeing as its gone now. But 'ill have to give that a go. At the time, it seems like the wobbling was just the physicals of it only being connected by that one port. -
So I've started making a space station, or at least started trying. My plan was to make it in a grid pattern for stability. The issue I'm finding is that its incredibly wobbly while its orbiting the planet. I'm curious if there are any tips for making a station that seems far more physically stable. I was pretty proud of myself for getting a full large fuel tank up.

I've been using both depending on what works at the time.

I'm looking to consolidate my stage icons. The list of stages on the side of my screens goes up and beyond the edge of my screen. I will have many similar items near each other but they don't consolidate into one icon, for instance those small separator rockets all stack individually. It's getting so bad I can only adjust my staging in real time as other items disappear from the list. Thank you.

Roll of SAS, Other thrust in maintaining orbit
Brok3n replied to Brok3n's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thank you for the replies. I wish the descriptions for components in game were more straight forward and less silly. It would greatly reduce the learning curve for new players. -
I've achieved orbit a few times with small satellites powered by a single ion engine. I'm now starting to look towards launching larger craft for making a space station. I've been reviewing a number of guides but I still have a few questions. 1. does a space station need thrust, like a liquid engine with fuel to maintain orbit? Is there an advised engine with fuel tank I should use? 2. does an SAS module keep a larger in orbit without someone manually controlling it? Thanks edit: side note, is there a way to identify the components that a ship is build with while its flying in space? such as a key to hold down while clicking on it.

I'll have to give that a go, thank you. Hopefully its something that is addressed soon, its driving me bonkers.
