  1. are you sure that you have a prograde vector? otherwise the selection won't work.
  2. keep in mind the chart for deltaV needed, http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/images/thumb/7/73/KerbinDeltaVMap.png/600px-KerbinDeltaVMap.png, which accounting for user error means you should have over 8k deltaV easy, more skillful players can get there in much less. Honestly I went to the moon on my first go with 3k to get into orbit, 800 to transfer, and a few hundred to land. keeping that in mind, you need a decent amount of deltaV to get there, generally I wait to go the the mun until I get 2.5m parts, or at least the capability to launch such a huge rocket. PS, this post has been answered to varying degrees by people, so whoever an mark the post as answered, please reconsider it's status.

As an intermediate in organic synthesis, it is used widely in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, explosives, fibers, and coatings." there is the one big problem which s that if it's used as a solvent, storing it will be harder, and also if it's "slightly viscous" the flow rates would drop preventing large amount of it to be burned quickly, so maybe as an upper stage but a first stage engine would require too much of it to store and keep flowing. On the other hand, it requires less oxidizer (can be used as a monop and is already used for rocket/engine applications so storing and pumping must already be figured out. There was a combustion velocity measured at .5 m/x vs lox/lh2 at 2,435 m/s, but I don't think they are measuring the same thing, and carbon monoxide is produced through nitromethane's combustion, which is a poison that can lead to harmful testing at full rocket capacity. Also it's a high explosive, meaning that it's dangerous to transport.
  4. yeah the only time my phone screen has been damaged was when it was run over, but it still worked perfectly and I don't know if it used gorilla glass (Samsung gs2), but I have the G3 now.
  5. also the glass on our phones doesn't need to shield against debris at orbital speeds like ISS glass tries to, however the shutter must help a lot, see that even if they break the whole copula module doesn't depressurize in the case of a broken pane. (also I never thought about how long I've been playing this game until I looked at all of our forum join dates and saw mine at almost two years)

  7. LOL I've been playing kerbal since 0.13. My friend once asked me for relationship advice, stupid move on his part, and I said "I hear you need help. He didn't laugh and just walked away. but yeah, and I even got science teacher approval last year to play the game in my work only study hall. Surprised the teacher (and everyone else) that such a silent boy could get his way. wow this thread is off topic. Thanks vector for bringing us back. Only problem with above, the terms raise and lower. although the major axis would stay the same, the periapsis would be in the atmosphere , since it is still the lowest point and if I wanted an 80Km semi-minor axis, the periapsis would be well to far into either the planet or the atmosphere.
  8. Not that laymen smidge, but I just wanted to know if it was possible. I wanted to know how to make an orbit have a perigee at like a 90^ angle to the apogee.
  9. I was wondering if there was a way to decrease the minor axis, but still have the same major axis. (I need this in the most laymen way possible).
