I've got a dilemma, I'd love to explore Minmus and the Mun with a rover (or two) before I truly leave Kerbin's influence to Duna or Eve. However, I'm about as creative as a sack of rocks and can't seem to slap together a decent rover that I can attach to a small rocket. Whenever I try to get building, I simply can't get a practical frame put together. Any help on rover basics is much appreciated, in terms of how they're thrown together and deployment as well. I'd use the initial rover part if it wasn't so gosh darn small, as well. I want to have a kerbal ride the rover comfortably, above all. Is there a central rover sharing thread that I'm missing so I can take a look at others to get ideas? Feel free to share your own pics to hopefully get some creative juices flowing as well, no fanciness needed.

If it's not toggle-able a mod will make it so. I personally look forward to it and my biggest achievement is landing on Mun so far. Haven't had time to play it as much as I'd like.

Timing launches

Why not first get into orbit around Kerbin and then speed up time until Duna is in the right spot? Also, as astropapi1 said, you can speed up time on the launch pad. -
But you are relevant, it's like saying, "Pirating isn't stealing, just unauthorized use of software. ;)" Fel sounds like they've had a pretty annoying experience dealing with someone who shared the same mindset, I think their response is a bit harsh but entirely understandable. _______ Nutt007's post is spot on. Modders owe people nothing. More often than not, they do it for free and on their own time, expecting them to HURRY UP or anything is disrespectful. You should know not to update until mods you use are also updated or know not to expect them to work perfectly in different versions of the game.

Then don't update at first and see what issues arise, and if you do decide to update, make a backup. This is in Alpha, things will go wrong, saves will be lost. It's to be expected.

This all sounds like a list of personal problems. Don't use mods then, and if you do use mods, don't update your game until the mods are compatible with the most recent version.

I'm not a frequent forummer, not yet at least, so I assume you're insane. It's not uncommon for people to suggest every PC game that's great be ported to consoles. It's actually annoyingly common and I have a friend who does that every time I show him a PC game I like. "Think they'll move it to Xbox? Maybe add..." Unless you're going to be blatantly obvious with sarcasm, such as using italics and it just being painfully obvious, never assume people can pick up on sarcasm in a forum. >.>

Isn't the Xbox One a pain for indie devs to work with as you have to go through another publisher first or something? Either way it's a lot of effort that may not pay for itself. KSP is a difficult game to grasp for many and time intensive, consoles, particularly the new Xbox, are aimed at more casual players. Minecraft works amazingly well for that since you can pick it up at any point and just get to work. KSP requires time built on ships, time built on testing those ships, time built actually launching those ships, time built landing those ships successfully or restarting the whole process after a catastrophic failure. I don't think a console market would receive KSP very well due to the devotion required for it, which is more than most games these days. ______________ There's clearly more to be said but I think that when it comes to sales, it wouldn't do too well on a console of any kind due to the different audience.

I'm pretty new...and while I've heard a lot about Mechjeb, I know nothing about it, but from what I've heard, I am sure you're right. So far I want to keep it vanilla.

I don't expect KSP to be the next "big thing" simply because of the difficulty. When I first saw this and the way it looked, I assumed it was a simple game about flying around in space and building simple rockets. I gave the demo a try and felt it was harder than I initially thought but with practice anyone could master it. Then after I was convinced to buy the full game, I learned just how wrong I was, and began looking for the formulas and plugging them into Excel, a program I've never used outside of a single class years ago. The game is deceptively challenging in an amazing way, while Minecraft is extraordinarily simple until you delve into redstone, which becomes more of a hassle later on, at least to me. _______ Summary: KSP requires thinking. Thinking does not comply with many gamers of today.

The satellite fueling station approach is simply a failure as I can't get it into a full orbit due to lack of fuel. Any tips there? I can reach 100km but it's at that point where the small rockets come into play and they aren't enough to get me into a full orbit. Anything bigger requires more fuel to and more fuels weighs down the rocket even more. Here's a picture. -

Very helpful guys! I was a bit reluctant to ask such a nooby question as I felt the answer would be somewhere around here, but I couldn't find it. _____ Razor, I want to do my best to insure the pilot makes it back safely as well. -
First of all, yes, I'm new, and my current goal is of course to make it to the Mun safely, however, after coming very close I've decided I don't want the poor guy tasked with the journey to be stuck there so I want to make sure he can return to Kerbin.. The question: Would launching a rocket into Kerbin orbit that is only for fuel work if I docked to it? And how do you refuel in space?

Welp, the deed has been done and I've finally let loose the money to buy this. Now I'm learning myself something with a Scott Manley tutorial. And here I actually expected orbit to be easier than it is.

Hey guys, thanks to some posts on DayZ forums I've been looking into this again...then the youtube videos have basically convinced me to buy this, something I probably should have done as soon as I saw this on Steam back in March. Anyway, I wanted to say hi, but I also have two questions. 1) Is there any difference between buying this on Steam compared to buying it straight from here? 2) Is the demo laggier than the "full" game?
