  1. OSX here. My MapSat satellite stopped scanning. The ones at kerbin are appr. 400km orbit and the one in the mun was at 300km, i reduced orbit just now but still now mapping. It DID work tho, it just stopped at some point.
  2. Designed rocket to carry my brand new (and first) rover to the Mun! Everything worked out first try, orbit, approach and landing. Decoupled really excited (since this was great success so far) - to see that I really suck at balancing...
  3. Okay (quite early) Update I reloaded my Jupiter I which was actually designed for a smaller payload (rover only) and according to that had much smaller upper stages. (with CoM at the upper part of Jumbo Tank as well). So I simply put my new payload on the old rocket and the whole "off course" problem disappeard. On the other hand it MIGHT be also my sloppy working on the stacked engines on the bottom of the Jumbo Tank (even tho i used symmetric-mode). At the very End, Jupiter II was a failure and the responsible Engineer-Kerbal was demoted to "Test-Pilot" Picture of the old-new Rocket (I hope it can deliver it also to the Mun, test pending)! Yeah I somehow tend to attach only at the first stage tanks at the sides, might be the design thing due to real life creations About the Struts, i have problems to attach them if the tanks are all at the same size, ak Cheers Edith says that the size of the upper stages looks quite the same, so maybe it was only my sloppy work at the stacked engines, lol.
  4. Removed the winglets and tried to lower the CoM by orientating the side tanks as low as possible. CoM now in the upper part of the Jumbo tank, still the same problem. But I guess you got a point with the "top-heavy" thing, it seems that with every wobble the rocket turns in the same direction a little more. Looks like I have to re-design the whole thing, crap! Thanks for the input and pointing my mistakes out
  5. So the Center of mass should be lower? The decouplers are from the asparagus system i just didnt sorted them new for the test (since i didnt even reach the point of dropping them...).
  6. Yes there are no fuel ducts left on this stage. I heard a little bit about the relation of CoM to CoL (and the "distance" between them) but I dont know exactly. The screens provided show the main rocket, with just some solid boosters to get the TWR high enough (and to show that its certainly not my noobishness about the asparagus system ) Note that I also zoomed "in" the rocket and checked if they are really centered - they are both. The whole rocket + the turn I cannot explain nor want: The turn gets worse and worse, its just the beginning in the picture. Btw, the center of mass was with the additional 6 tanks for the asparagus around the decoupler at the top of the orange tank. Edit2: Here the picture with the center of mass with all tanks used in the first place inclusive all engines.
  7. Hello Guys, I worked the whole night and the day on a rocket to bring 3man capsule + Hitch Hike container + General Equipment to the Mun. All in all its about 18t.Rocket mass is about 230t. The thing is, I cant even reach the point for my gravity turn since the rocket is quite early heading in some direction instead of straight up in the sky. Every important part is made symmetric (just some antennas not). I removed the asperagus system even tho i double checked the fuel ducts (so fuel tanks are used in the right order). cant figure it out. Could it be in general about my heavy payload? The wrong COM/COL? Its all centered tho. Can provide with pictures if its necessary, but it might be a more general problem.

  9. Hey, as far as I know (and made a thread about it a few minutes ago) the keybinding except default doesnt seem to work. To unlock the F-Keys go Settings -> Keyboard -> something like "Use F-Keys as normal F-keys". Also check the other tab, about Hotkeys. There you might change the settings so f12 and the combination of alt + f12 doesnt affect the OSX but the Game only.

  12. Do you use Maneuver Nodes? You can play around and look what happens when you burn "prograde" or "retrograde". Without the nodes I also didnt manage to reach the Mun
  13. My heart is broken. All the test flights without parachutes but manned with 3 kerbals... Also I dont understand who the heck writes these clowns messages instead just lurking in the internet for tutorials...

  15. So you also just copied the MechJeb2 Folder in the Gamedata, where it rests next to the "Squad" one? Dammit, cant make it work Edit: or do I miss a step regarding the "parts" ?
  16. MechJeb2 doesnt work on OSX I think. I copied the folder in GameData, and MechJeb also was for a short moment on the loading screen. But ingame, was nothing (no pods, nothing). Anyone can help out? MacUser maybe confirm?

    Good luck with that Even tho, I think MechJeb might be buggy for us. With the new version and the simple step, to copy it in the "GameData" Folder, it doesnt really work for me (other users say on the other hand it does, so I think it might be exlusive to OSX). Engineer worked so far in the old fashioned way, so did CrewManifest (if you play with mods at all ) cheers

    Hey fellow Mac User. I had a lot of flights to kerbin low orbit, landings on Mun & Minmus and send a probe to Duna. As well as fooling around with Jets and a lot of other stuff, so far I had none of the issues I read here recently. No random explosions, no bugs noticed so far

  21. How do I patch? FIrst time here. I download the new version manually? when I click "Check for Updates" literally nothing happens. If manually, I need to copy/paste my existing files + mods? Halp
  22. Appreciate the effort, but the music is horrible. Why do people so often make a nice video, but ruin everything with their need to show off their music taste

  24. First click the Node, then right click the white circle (the one you would use to move). it should work
