  1. The first loading could take a long time in some machines... Have you all the depencencies? Especially ATM? How much ram do you have? Are you sure that you are not reaching the memory limit?

Yes, I have aggressive ATM and all of the dependencies, I think it may be a RAM problem. I have 1024MB VRAM, is that enough? I've already deleted the music files, is there anything else I can delete to save memory, but still have the mod work properly?

  2. Proot, first of all, thank you so much, this looks AMAZING! I can't wait to try it out! Second, I know that it takes a (very) long time to load the game, especially on the first load after downloading, but I was stuck on the loading screen for about 30 minutes while it tried to load the Texture Replacer Command Pod Mark 1 re-texture. That, and the fact that there was a message on my screen the entire time saying "KSP is not responding" makes me think there's something wrong with the files. Do you have any idea what it is?

  3. Tingle, does removing your Mun re-texture after installing it remove some of the craters? I recently deleted the Mun file in your re-texture folder, after having it installed for a few days already, and something about the "normal" Mun just doesn't seem right... it seems like there are a lot less craters.

  4. 7z is an archive format... you have to UNPACK IT ;) With.. 7zip or WinRAR .

OH, *facepalm* I'm really slow... thanks! :)

Btw, I would actually enjoy some feedback on my textures :<, would like to know what you guys like/dislike

Now that I've figured out how to get everything to work, I'm in love with your textures! Jool is my favourite, and I love how the texture remains visible when really low in Jool's atmosphere. :) The only thing I don't like so much is the Eeloo texture. It's not bad, it's just that I don't notice much of a change. But, maybe that's just me. :P

  5. Are you running any other plugins ?

And are you sure you put the textures into their respective folders?

The only other plugins I have installed are MechJeb, Hyper Edit, ISA Mapsat, and Mission Controller. And I'm fairly certain the textures are in the right place, though I suppose I could have messed something up. Here's what my directory looks like:

    KSP_osx > Game Data > Universe Replacer > Textures > Planets > Kerbin > Kerbin1.png

That's only one of the directories, I have other similar ones such as Duna, Eve, Jool, and Laythe. I also have Dreamscape_V.2 in the same Universe Replacer folder alongside the Textures folder.

  6. My first manned mission to Laythe ended abruptly when the ship collided with a rather large satellite orbiting Eve (I was using Eve's gravity to help with the Jool transfer). Long story short, the collision destroyed about 75% of the satellite (no longer usable), and the entirety of the manned spacecraft was destroyed with the exception of the command module, which contained 3 Kerbals. Interestingly enough, the command module was still in orbit, but it's PE was inside the atmosphere. Using the mod that lets you launch rockets from other planets, I sent a rescue craft into orbit, rendezvoused with the capsule, but could only get 2 of the 3 Kerbals on the ship before I had to abandon the capsule and the remaining Kerbal. (By the time I rendezvoused with the capsule, it's AP was so low that the next pass through the atmosphere would deorbit it, and I didn't want to lose the rescue craft by following it.) R.I.P. Bildrin Kerman.

  7. I'd set up a small mining operation on Vall for when your Laythe colony is low and needs emergency Kethane, and a much larger, primary mining operation on Pol which delivers massive amounts of Kethane to Laythe, but much less frequently.

  8. It could be an issue with the whole floating point system they have, it moves the universe around the ship at high speeds.

As FITorion said, you were probably everywhere at once. Or so close (or so far!) that it makes no difference. I wonder how high speeds would affect crafts that are more than one part if you EVA?

I actually went back and tried that with a bigger ship and tried EVA, surprisingly nothing really happens. The ship stays intact and the Kerbal just floats around and moves in whatever direction I move him. However, if it gets to the point where my speed suddenly becomes 0, hitting EVA breaks the universe. Or, at least that's what happened with me. :P

  9. So umm... I've kind of been doing stuff I probably shouldn't be doing with Hyper Edit, and I was going at speeds so high in my spacecraft that I actually ended up reaching the Ps and eventually 16309E before my game crashed. But before it crashed, as my ship was cruising along I started to hear this high pitched creepy beeping sound that got faster and faster very quickly and constantly changed tones. This is not a complaint, I was just wondering, was that programed into the game to tell people to back the !@#$ off if they screwed around too much, or am I breaking the game? :P
