Addendum to this: If you find this happening, you can always reduce the maximum allowable thrust that an SRB produces in the VAB. -

I've seen this, but only when adding a mod and then attempting to continue an existing career game. Starting a new career game addressed it. -

Unrelated to the issue of trusted distribution: has anyone had any luck spawning new parts from within an inherited class yet? I was half expecting some sort of a factory pattern, but it appears we\'ll have to do it manually.
