  1. I'm up for this as a tester. This mod can have a great potential. KSP really needs methods of actually earning science. I'll try to sort out the best ways for earning science from parts.
  2. Basically a single part with the KAS container module would be enough. If it could be dropped, Kerbals could put the rocks in it and than pick up again. This is quite easy.
  3. As a (hopefully) future geologist, I am of course interested in it. I'm not a coder at any level but the asteroid generating codes is what you might be interested in since as far as I know no mods have random placement systems. Or, maybe the scatter density codes.
  4. Check out the HGR thread. That includes a Soyuz like pod (with the orbital module) which rather looks like the Shenzhou.
  5. This new shuttle reminds me of the spaceplane from one of the episodes of the Rescue Rangers cartoon. I've watched it a lot as a kid.
  6. I'll try to contact Lovad tomorrow so I can ask him about the progression of the LEM.
  7. Steamen viszont elég gyakran szoktak leárazások lenni. Akár 25-40%-kal. Ha még nem vetted meg, most nyár elején talán még lesz valami akció.
  8. I actually sent a Shuttle to low kerbin orbit this way. Similar to Buran, except I had to fire the shuttle's engines as well for balance. It was still difficult.
  9. There is a really good modifiable/resizable mounting plate in the new version of Procedural Fairings.
  10. This is easy to do with the Gemini lander's service module with command seats on it. Also the rules say no engine with fuel tank combined. But thanks for the idea!
  11. Or duct tape! A roll of space duct tape is always useful. Ask Gene Cernan. Denny is also doing the LRV in one part. He's working on it.
  12. I thing the best choice would be the RL-10 engine since it seems to have a support and a high ISP engine like that would have a good use.
  13. Actually, DennyTX have already confirmed the Skylab as far as I remember. Look it up on his pages.
  14. I like the Surveyor idea.
  15. It's the same for me as well, but I think the ring and the balls are just cinematic.
  16. You have to have Raster Prop Monitor mod installed. If you have it, you go IVA and click on the latch on the door. Than you can exit with the kerbals.
  17. Only moderators can do that unfortunately. Anyway is it really that hard to make a proper Centaur stage with the existing parts? Not like there aren't many versions of it.
  18. There is a smaller ring to be attached to the large interstage separator between the first stage and the second stage. It's just there, in the construction node just where the other decouplers are I think. The 'ASLEEP' box is the ALSEP (Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package) box. you place them on the gold foiled descent stage of the lander and then on them the yellow science instruments.
  19. You should. About 50% of the fuel. At least in real life they did.
  20. I believe that frizzank should commit himself to achieving the goal, before 0.24 is out, of landing a Kerbal on the Mun and returning him safely back to Kerbin using the new completed FASA Saturn parts. Sorry, I had to write it. The second stage looks very good. How will you make the clamps in respect of Catepillar tracks? Or you won't implant it at the end?
  21. Well so far I haven't had any problems with FAR compatibility. The Saturn V works just fine for me. I like that you have to be careful with the G forces using FAR's latest release.
  22. If the first SLS flight is taking place in December 2017 then I guess by 2016 it will be operational for tests. The components for SLS VAB operations are under construction as far as I know. LC-39B will be ready this year or the earliest months of 2015.
  23. I'm still waiting for the announcement of a launch vehicle to support these plans by the Chinese. They sure have made great steps in space exploration but also have international and US based companies. My best bet is the next lunar landing will be conducted using Space X hardware. This may sound too demagogic but without any equipment proposed by anyone else I just can't imagine that nobody will would waln to use the cheapest HLV (the Falcon Heavy) with groundbreaking new technologies to support even just one lunar landing.
