Here's my stock station, just a small thing I built in Kerbin orbit to practice docking and act as a refueling point. I designed the fuel tanks at the bottom to be separate modules rotated 45 degrees from the main station to avoid blocking Jeb's view. They were launched separately If you haven't made a station yet, don't be afraid to build something small and launch it into orbit. You can learn a lot about docking and fine tuning orbits.
