  1. You know when you have mastered docking when your flight plan for missions involving docking pretty much consists of "Go there and dock"
  2. Since a few people asked, here is the all in one console thingy I put together, please bear in mind this is something I threw together over a weekend for a bit of fun so it is not terribly optimised. Before you download this please note that i am not in any way affiliated with the author of telemachus, i make no guaruntee that this stuff will work as intended, all files are either unencrypted html files or images so if you want to see the source just open them up and have a look, this is not intended as an official mod release e.t.c. http://www.filedropper.com/allinonepanelfortelemachus to install you should be able to just extract into your ksp gamedata folder, obviously requires telemachus to already be installed. Once its installed connect to telemachus and you will have to change the address in the address bar from "information.html" to "hg_panel_main.html". Its made for the size of my second monitor so you may have to zoom your browser out a bit to see all the buttons. Since I deliberately made it all a bit complicated since it wouldnt be a proper kerbal console if it wasnt made unneccesarily complex heres a basic guide to it: To choose what is shown on each screen you can use the black buttons along the bottom. You will see the buttons are grouped into two sections, most of them are grouped under "Screen display mode select" and the two rightmost are grouped under "SDM Shift" (Screen Display Mode shirt). Basically to adjust the main screen, just press one of the black "Screen display mode select" buttons, so to get the fuel display up on the main screen just click "Fuel". To change what is on one of the smaller primary or secondary displays press one of the "SDM Shift" buttons (pridisp refers to the little display marked primary and im sure you can figure out what SeDisp button refers too) then press on of the "Screen display mode select" buttons. So to get say altitude data onto the secondary display press "SeDisp" then "Alt". You should be able to switch between displays without the graphs resetting. The panel of buttons along the right hand side should be fairly self explanatory. Ive colour coded the buttons based on how likely they are to kill you. Light blue buttons: should not cause any danger unless combined with outher commands Green buttons: may cause problems if accidentally switched and not rectified over a long period of time. Yellow buttons: may immediately cause problems if accidentally switched and may cause serious problems if not rectified over a long period of time. Red buttons: may cause immediate serious problems if accidentally switched and may be fatal if not rectified immediately. Light blue and covered by a red safety cover with black and orange danger stripes: may cause immediate serious problems if accidentally switched and cannot be rectified if accidentally activated. Just tried it in V0.22 and it seems to work fine, have fun and remember no watching KTV during missions!
  3. Gotta say I love this mod! One of my friends was away on holiday so I set this up so he could help fly my ship on his ipad so he could get his ksp fix Made myself an overlay type thing so i could get multiple readouts from the mod on my second monitor, been trying to make it look kinda like a kerbalised version of the control panels from the apollo era mission control panels. I got visions now of getting a group together over hamachi and flying a mission to the mun or something using this mod
  4. I like to open source all my projects for a few reason, not just in Kerbal space program but nearly all my coding projects. Firstly it allows people to learn something, secondly I find it helps me write better code if people can look over it and say "This part could be done better", thirdly it reduces the "hit by a bus" factor of my projects whereby if I stop development (By getting hit by a bus, getting bored or whatever) its development can be picked up and continued. I tend to use "Do what you like so long as you credit me" licenses on all my stuff as well since quite often if a project is good I have found people tend to make forks and add awesome features which can then be pulled back into the main project and what starts as a little one man project can easily grown into a big project with multiple coders working on it and become something greater than I originally envisioned.
  5. To land with mechjeb I generally I use the Smart A.S.S to point me retrograde (RETR GRAD button) for slowing myself down then when I get closer and need a bit more control I use the Translatron to control the vertical speed more accurately by using the "KEEP VERT" button and putting in a negative value of about -100 in the speed and have the "Kill H/S" button selected, that will restrict the vertical speed to 100m/s and kill any horizontal movement. I then drop the vertical speed to -10 and finally -1 for the last few meters. Mechjeb WILL get you killed however if you rely on it without knowing how the underlying manoeuvres should actually be performed, if your going to use mechjeb its a good idea to get your navball set to surface mode so you can keep an eye on it (Your retrograde marker should be straight up at 90 degrees, if it starts to wander that means you are building up horizontal speed) and also keep an eye on your vertical speed (The ones in IVA view can be seen much more accurately than the one on the HUD) and radar altitude gauges (NEVER trust the altimeter!). I would say roughly half the time ive noticed something going slightly wrong and had to manually correct when landing with mechjeb.
