Fly a mk 1 command pod up to 5000 meters with nothing but a docking port and a parachute(s). Then, dock with it with another (different) craft whilst it's free-falling. Winner is the one with the least attempts before success. If it's too hard change the height. If it's too easy put the docking ports on the top rather than the bottom
