  1. It is indeed the 64 bit version im using. Does it do this with the 64bit Linux as well, or just with windows? Thanks for the prompt reply. Ill consider this answered.
  2. Hi. I did do a search for this but didn't see anything about this. I built a rocket that's giving me an error message when I try to launch it. "Craft has too many parts! The Vehicle Assembly Building cant support vessels over 30 parts. Unable to launch." Well, when I go outside of the building and click on all the building itself it says 'facility level 3' and 'fully upgraded' 'max parts supported unlimited'. Something up im not aware of? Thanks, JP
  3. lol. touched my mouse at the top during orbital mode as you suggested and it magically appeared. and here i thought you were crazy. didn't even know that was there. well hey. hows that for a quick suggestion wish coming true. thanks mki.
  4. while there is an 'unknown' option for the tracking station, it does not effect the orbital map. I see no option on the orbital map for removing them. keep in mind when I say orbital map, this isn't the tracking station map.
  5. Hello. While I saw someone else's thread on actually cutting down the amount of asteroids that spawn, with the general consensus of people berating the guy with the response of 'just don't track them' (which I find interesting... why have them at all then.. not much of a helpful response if you ask me) but instead I think their should be a button for actually turning them on/off on the orbital map. In my case here, I have not tracked any, and ive found it a pain to try to reselect kerbal many times just due to the ones that are showing up as anonymous. (its a flight back from Eeloo) Instead of the self defeating purpose (unconstructive advice) of ignoring them, why not make a way to optionally show them on or off? A switch? an option somewhere perhaps? thanks for your time JP
  6. good job. =) you spent some time i can tell. yea. what mods were/are you using?
  7. is it possible to see things you have in space from the ground? satellites, stations, whatever. or even vice versa. build a big enough station you could see it from a low orbit? just curious if the game allows for this. wish we had an observatory (a telescope not the graphic tracking station).
  8. are you using mods for this? (cant see how you would make this stuff using vanilla.) that massive complex with the solar panels. thats wild. also it looks like your using a crane or something to move things into place?
  9. I'm not sure what the 'normal' time for the average player is to make something that goes to the mun. Ive been playing for about a week now. So far ive only managed to make nice orbits around Kerbal, do a spacewalk, and make satellites. Ive watched a lot of youtube videos to try to figure out how to use the 'add maneuver' properly. While I *have figured out what each of them does, using this tool to reach other planets or moons so far has eluded me. I tend to use most all my fuel just trying to get my orbit right to match the plane-of-orbit of my destination. After that I cant seem to figure out how to manipulate it right to hit a destinations trajectory. I have seen some folks use 'cheat' methods like burning at a certain point on the horizon, etc, but id prefer to do it 'right' using the tools i have. This said, i dont want to have to use a calculator or do math either. The only mods I have added is the 'Worlds Flags' and "Kw Rocketry'. I don't want to use that auto pilot mod either. here is two pics of my new satellite named 'star bright'. was hoping to make it have enough lights i could see it at night from the surface. first one is after i staged. bottom stage passes me up. got my lights all turned on. night side of the planet. here is a pic after i changed my orbit and unfurled her solar's.
