  1. Waaaaaaaay back when, maybe about .28, I think, I used to play KSP a lot with remotetech. There was a guide on the forums here on how to launch three satellites at one time in one launch and have them in constant contact. Now, I know there are a *TON* of threads like that, and I know how to do it on Kerbin. What was special about this thread was that it included the math and the calculations needed to figure it out. I was able to use that math and extend it to figure out how to do it on other celestial bodies. Does anyone know, by any chance, know where that thread is? If not, then where I can find the equations? Nevermind, found the post in an old bookmark backup.
  2. Hedzup, If you were referring to my post, then I didn't explain correctly what each satellite was connected to. Each satellite in that relay has 4 dishes on them. They point from Satellite 1 -> 2 -> 3 around kerbin, then the Mun satellites 1, 2, 3, each connect to their corresponding satellites around kerbin, then to each other. The third dish on each is set to active vessel in case I miss a switch, while the fourth was set to relay to the scanning satellite I had in orbit. And no matter what I did I lost connection. The only way I was able to successfully connect the scanning satellite was by directly connecting it to the ones in Kerbin's orbit. To me that makes no sense. It had a clear command patch. In this case, KerbSat 1 connected to KSC, Kerbsat 2 connected to Mun Sat 2, Mun sat 2 was connected to KerbSat 2, MunSat 2 was also directly connected to MunScansat. Scansat originally was using an omni array. Then I even tried aiming a DTS array at the mun satellite and it still wouldn't work. Finally I, just connected directly to KerbSat 2 and it worked, except I lose connection when I go around the dark side of Kerbin and lose mapping ability.
  3. Ok, so I'm not sure what went wrong here. I'm going to post an imgur archive hopefully to give some illustration here. But I have a set of 3 Sats in synchronous orbit around kerbin. They are feeding a signal to an array of sats around the Mun. All the sats are exactly the same, they have 2 DTS-M1 arrays that connect the satellite to the next to the chain and also target the active vessel. They also have two 88-88's that connect them to various satellites around Kerbin. So I have the satellites around Kerbin feeding the Satellites around the Mun, which are supposed to feed into the scanning satellite I'm trying to get into orbit around the Mun. However, it never gets a command connection. In the first image you can see that it is connected to Mission control via the Kerbin sats. In the second image, it shows that the Scansat ont he way to the Mun is connected to two of the Mun satellites, but somehow not connected to Kerbin. The DTS-M1 is supposed to be targeting the active vessel, so its no longer connected to the Scansat on its way to the Mun in this picture. The third image is the same as the second, except it is showing the satellite around the Mun is in command connection with Kerbin. The fourth image, I warped closer to the Mun and the Mun sat clearly has a command connection with Kerbin, and is pointing at the Scansat, but it will not give me control. What am I doing wrong?
