  1. I completely agree. I also think that unlocking new parts with science points is also not very ideal. I just don't find it exciting to finally get a battery pack for doing grindy science. With the OP's suggestions in mind I think science should get you a Funds boost instead and have all parts unlocked from the start. The costs would have to be rebalanced of course.
  2. Sorry for slight off-topic, but are your start up loading times also like 1 minute long? (completely stock, no mods whatsoever)
  3. Since I first played KSP I've always disliked the construction part because of said reasons. It's really rage inducing sometimes, e.g.: I loaded my subassembly and wanted to attach it vertically, but no, not working. It only attaches horizontally. I really wish the devs would focus more on finishing the basic stuff like the construction instead of just adding and adding new features.
  4. Career mod isn't implemented yet. I mean you can't even select it.
  5. I don't understand why this system has been implemented into Sandbox mode, it seems more fitting with career mode.
  6. I wonder why you can't select a crew member for the External Command Seat. Bug? Oversight? Not intented? Also I'm a bit confused. Shouldn't the new "recover" option be for the career mode and the old "terminate flight" for sandbox?
  7. But be aware, you can't switch back once you chose to use the steam version. I don't use the steam version because it's just refreshing to have game that doesn't use steam. I'm not againts steam, far from it, but having lately always used steam for many games, it's nice to have some variety.
  8. Oh my god, that's horrific. Poor guy, may he rest in peace.
  9. I really think the new island doesn't look good. It kind of looks out of place, all in green. The cliff texture is also a little off in my opinion. About the easter egg, well I hope they relocated it, or it was just removed by accident.
  10. First manned mun landing. So far I only sent two rovers there, one crashed while landing, the other is happily alive and roaming around. I also think my mun probe spotted an ester egg. I also want to send a lot of satellites/probes around Kerbin after seeing this video
  11. Exactly what I was thinking. Immediately reminded me of the WarZ/Infestion debacle, although not that severe. Despite their boasting and attitude it looks interesting though, I'll keep an eye on it. I'm still skeptical of how they're going to pull this one off, given the limited computing power of an iPad/iPhone/any smartphone.
  12. Awesome Mech you got there lucidLemon! Oh, I think that's a little to much thrust.....Jeb doesn't seem to mind it though. Nothing special other than it looks neat.
  13. About a year ago I saw a video about Kerbal Space Program. I don't know how I got there, but I have always been interested in astronomy/space/physics, so maybe it was a releated video on youtube. I watched the video and I liked it. I visited the Kerbal website and thought about buying it. Somehow I lost track of this game and it got forgotten. Then, this year in February I saw an article about Kerbal Space Program on PcGamer and it immediately brought back memories. I again visited the website, but this time I saw the demo and gave it a try. I played it for a few hours and then decided to finally buy it. I think it was version .17 at that time, just a few days before .18 got released. Ever since, this game always leaves me in awe when I'm in outer space just floating around.
  14. Mun and Minmus....and a happy Jebediah (I wish I'd have taken the screenshot without Hud)
