I just got back from the postal pickup point, and I'm so happy and excited!! I think you will understand from the picture. Now onto building this gamingrocket!

Thanks mate, then I can rest assured.

I really hope you are wrong since I'm getting everything delivered monday morning. :S I'm pasting in an excerpt from a user at tomshardware (who seems credible when looking at his other posts): "For a system using a single GeForce GTX 760 graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors. For a system using two GeForce GTX 760 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 700 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 50 Amps or greater and that has at least four 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors. Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most important factor. Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted." I really hope he is correct since, as you stated yourself, I'm getting 40amps on my 12v rail. :S

The GTX 770 from EVGA w/ACX is the one i really wanted in the first place, but it won't come to my stores for another 2-3 weeks I hope the MSI is at least one of the second runners up? I also went with that 16gb 1866 Corsair kit. Now I've ordered everything already, so I hope my PSU will do the job.. :S http://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/bequiet-pure-power-l8-530w-cm-review/

I'm just wondering about something for my build: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£257.99 @ Aria PC) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler (£63.22 @ Ebuyer) Motherboard: Asus Z87-K ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£98.97 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£99.04 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Corsair Force Series GS 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£95.00 @ Ebuyer) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (£219.00 @ Ebuyer) Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£47.98 @ Dabs) Power Supply: Fractal Design Integra R2 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply (£48.50 @ CCL Computers) Total: £929.70 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-06-27 19:46 BST+0100) Notice that I will use another PSU from bequiet!. 530W 80 bronze one. I'm wondering what better ram I could get if I increase that budget to £150? I want maximum bang for your buck (I guess speed then). Also, looking at alot of data from the 3DMark databases I've come across that the i7 4770K + GTX760 consistently scores higher game physics score in 3DMark compared to similar setups but with i7 4770k + GTX770!! How can this be? I've been comparing equal rigs in the 3DMark database. Is the 760 "cooperating" better with the processor, and therefore handles the physics better? Thx for your input!

Building a new computer because of this wonderful game!

Thanks, due to the move to junkyard, I've sadly missed the main thread, will head over immediately! What do you think would be the best ram for the money if i increase my budget for them to about £150? What speed can i get for that? Also my choice for PSU is the 'be quiet! 530 80 bronze'. I shouldn't hit more than 400W with OC on both GPU and CPU a guy told me in a Swedish overclocking forum. Notice that I couldn't find bequiet! in the parts list on pcpartpicker. its like £15 more expensive than the one i picked as a substitute. I switched to the Noctua NH-D14 as well. Right now it's only about what faster ram i should use instead. btw, I'm so irritated that this same build costs £980 when i buy from Swedish stores. I'm gonna buy 2 extra fans, so with the ones included with the case, I'll have a total of 4 case fans. I'm pretty sure this game will eventually release with both 64bit support and utilization of more cores. I want to be ready when that time comes. I think I'll switch to the Noctua D14, thanks for the tip! One funny bit of data I've stumbled across in my research is that 4770K + GTX760 consistently scores higher game physics score in 3DMark compared to similar setups but with 4770k + GTX770!! How can this be? I've been comparing equal rigs in the 3DMark database. Is the 760 "cooperating" better with the processor, and therefore handles the physics better? -
Last week-end I started to play this great, new game! I've logged like 90 hours gameplay already! Just can't stop iterating.. To get to the point, with my current two year old AMD build, the game lags a lot. I have been reading, and people say the physics demand a lot of processing power. I've fallen so much in love with building rockets, I've decided to construct a computer in the same sense. i.e. I want to cram as much power as I possibly can into it, but still fly (bang for your buck). I will mainly play KSP, some LoL, some DayZ and rarely WoW. I never play them all at the same time, so hard drive space isn't an issue. For entertainment I have several HTPC's with larger hard drives placed around my home. So this is about helping me build a computer for around £1k that is optimized for KSP. I've already put together something I think is quite powerful for the money spent. I just need advice if I should go for better processor, but also step down on the graphics (to keep budget). As mentioned before, it's mainly about how it would run and perform in KSP, however I wouldn't mind a stunning world in DayZ either. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£251.99 @ Aria PC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (£24.49 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: Asus Z87-K ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£98.97 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£100.17 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Corsair Force Series GS 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£95.00 @ Ebuyer) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (£219.00 @ Ebuyer) Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£47.98 @ Dabs) Power Supply: StarTech 530W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£49.00 @ Ebuyer) Total: £886.60 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-06-26 21:11 BST+0100) Notice I couldn't find the evga 760 in the list yet, so it will be more expensive. Also my choice for PSU is the 'be quiet! 530 80 bronze' which is more expensive. Currently this build costs 980 GBP with the lowest prices i could find that ship to Stockholm, Sweden. Is there anything i can do to further optimize my experience, performance wise, in and around this budget?
