Heng - Great homage to Scott Manley. He would love that one. -
KSP bumper stickers T-shirt slogans
K77LostNSpace replied to K77LostNSpace's topic in KSP1 Discussion
These are all really awesome. Alshain - That's very clever I would put it on my car. Plume & Akakak - That's funny, its almost dirty, which makes it even more funny Laie - I could see that on a car with a picture of a rocket, very nice. imaspacestation - Perfect T-shirt, its elegant. reminds me of something you would see on Thinkgeek.com -
Think of any slogan related to KSP that you would love to see on a bumper sticker or T-shirt. "I learned higher math's (ksp logo) from a video game" Would love to see one or more of these become a reality. I would promote it.

Currently only running Kerbal Engineer and Kerbal Alarm Clock. I have noticed that on the Satellite launch to X orbit missions. If i launch and complete the contract in one go i have no issues. but should i launch the craft and put it into a non contract orbit. save my game and close then later return to the craft, my contract requirement of launch a new satellite is no longer checked for the craft. I can get the original craft into the right orbit, where it will mark off stable and correct orbit, but not the launch new. Could the two mods I'm running cause this? or do the contacts reset the objectives if i close my game?

Don't forget IVA only , helpful if you have RPM, but if your just twisted doing IVA only with the stock interior information. Difficulty increase by +10

I can't get it!
K77LostNSpace replied to Starwhip's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
You could try a download program like http://getright.com/ Its old school but works well. if you lose connection it will pause its download and try again when internet connection resumes. -
Space Planes Now Scare the Living Tar Out of Me
K77LostNSpace replied to ChrisHale's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I checked off the Hard mode and struggle to keep up on funds to pay for the parts after unlocking them with science. I used the admin building to convert Reputation into funds and science. So far i've enjoyed the progress. I have really tried to focus on planes over rockets for this go around. I had one low altitude plane testing parachutes, and found I could not reach 23000m to complete a contract, as i was using the first basic jet engines. So returning to the runway i was less then 500m over the runway and the wife looked over my shoulder and noticed my speed was 100m/s or there about and started to panic. "your going too fast!" i laughed it off and said, "oh yeah i have a parachute!" (keep in mind the test parachute was mounted in the nose). so activated the parachute as the plane started to flip tail first in a slow motion dramatic crash into the runway. Pilot survived amazingly and the runway was left with only a few scratches. Good times. -
Ideas for the New Secret Feature in 0.25!
K77LostNSpace replied to Lhathron the Elf's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I have a feeling the feature would have something to do with laying ground work for expanded kerbal stats. repeated crashing causes the kerbals stats to go down. Not sure what fun one would have in watching stats plummet unless that kerbal gets fired or something. Putting in mechanics that allow us to influence the stats could lead to the stats having a major function -
Ideas for the New Secret Feature in 0.25!
K77LostNSpace replied to Lhathron the Elf's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Would it be interesting if the secret feature was simulated physics in the space assembly building? Triggered by X part count or some other unintuitive reason. Just slapping stuff together and physics takes which makes your craft crumble to the ground in an unstable, explosive and amusing way. -
Thanks Kerbrud I picked up Hyomotos changes to test them out and noticed nothing in RPM changed. I was scratching my head wondering what i could have done wrong adding the plugin. At first i suspected "maybe it was integrated into the base RPM" but the buttons looked different so i kept searching for an answer. Found you and feel the search is over. I found the old version 0.17 public release on the RPM download page that looks to support 23.5 will follow your fix and try it later today.

Currently have a space station in orbit around Kerbin, and sent up a framework to attach to it. This connects five docking ports all at one time. (or should). To do this i had to move many parts around, (other ships). Multiple docking procedures. after i put everything back together i decided to EVA Bill from a ship that was not attached currently to the science module on the station. This is when i noticed Bill would float through the science module as if it was not there. Side attached items still had physical interactions with Bill. I moved Bill back to the ship he came from and tried to enter the lander can and found it too had the same problem. I'm thinking memory issue, and will try again later today after a PC restart. Mods: SpacePlane+ , RPM, Kerbal Engineer Redux, Firespitter, Probe Control Room.

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!

Granted you now have a million Lumen Flashlights. That when all turned on at once is blinding. Now you live in a perpetual world of darkness. I wish for a lasting breath of fresh air. -
I have RasterProp Plugin. I really enjoy what it adds to the IVA. I understand this is a modders tool, but did not find anything else that adds information to the IVA of cockpits like this does. My question is is there any packages for rasterprop that have been created that change how the screens display information or what information is available? perhaps a script or config that i can drop into the plugin. Perhaps something that organizes information like Engineer redux into one screen? I have very little knowledge on how to create a mod and got lost trying to read Mihara's Full documentation which looks like information for mod makers. Thanks in advance

Reading a Delta V Map.
K77LostNSpace replied to SpaceSmith's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Great information so far from everyone who posted. Learning quite about about this Dv chart. Question: My situation is landing on the Mun. First I have really bad pilot skills and my decent profile is horrid. Reviewing the Dv chart Metaphor posted ( http://i.imgur.com/UUU8yCk.png ) it says 580Dv from a 10k orbit to the Mun. So I made the assumption of adding 580 + 580 = 1160Dv minimum required for my landing stage to get on the surface and return to 10k orbit and meet up with the transfer stage to return home. The lander has a bit over 1160Dv (don't have the true number with me at the moment, but it was over the estimated Dv listed) I find I was unable to get the lander back into a 10k orbit, or any orbit for that matter. Current landing profile: When trying to land I drop the orbit so it over shoots my landing spot, and slowly burn till I'm just over my landing spot then zero out my velocity, upright and lower at a slow pace until touchdown. Does anyone have a good decent profile to the Mun I should try to follow when landing to conserve fuel, or should i just stack on more tanks and boosters for greater Dv for my lander stage? -
The Root symbol and Gamma symbol in Greek. These look like the closest parts for the "funds" symbol. maybe a hybrid of the two parts that make up the symbol could be a good name. GOOT (GOOTS) ROMA / RÃœMA (RÃœMAS) GAM (GAMS)

Ta du! Thank you Slashy, laying it out step by step really helped. After finely finding the ln button on the calculator I managed to get the same answer as you. My second stump was getting e^ , which was hidden under the Inv button which provided more options on the calculator. Now I feel empowered that my rockets will get to the Mun and have enough fuel for return, and launchers will be less wasteful when delivering payloads into LKO
