I'm trying to make an RCS block use IntakeAir
YX33A replied to SiliconPyro's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I haven't seen it crop up but in one mod before, and honestly, if I remember correctly, they just made the air intake resource convertible into a RCS fuel specific to that RCS block. Might have even been automatically done. -

So, just checked the suggestions.txt again, and I'm surprised that there isn't these 'chevos: Deep Impact: Send a class E Asteroid into the KSC Colony Drop: Crash a vessel with over 50 kerbals with a dry mass of over 1000 tons(or something about 10 times as massive as a normal space station, haven't really thought that hard on this) into a atmosphere and lose every kerbal in the crash Go big or...: Successfully grab a Class E Asteroid and give it a stable orbit around kerbin Go Home!: Successfully land a ship carrying a Class E Asteroid on Kerbin Bottle it up, save some for later!: Launch a ship from Kerbin with a Type E Asteroid in tow. This all assumes that Type E asteroids are the largest, I may have imagined them, just make sure they are all the biggest ones. Oh, and if possible: Apollo Style!: Land a vessel on the Mun or Minmus using solely IVA view the whole trip. -
InfiniteDice -=Skillful=- Combat Damage & Weapons Mod
YX33A replied to InfiniteDice's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It kinda does to me, though. Armor plating? Material sciences/construction changes. Guns? Basic ones early, later ones in space plane sections(avionics etc etc). Bombs? Rocket upgrades. CIWS style weapons? A.I. stuff. Missiles? Somewhere between drones and rocket upgrades. -

Can we expect tech tree support sometime soon, though? -
Just a thought, but why not add anchors or landing gear? If it's falling over, then adding stability stuff would help. No wait, got a better look at it, it drags stuff, right? If so, the issue is that the wheels are to close to the hull. Send them out a bit and it should be more stable. Wider base and all that. Could use IR to extend the wheels when you need to pull stuff with landing legs to send it up first.

Funny, I just told a guy my thoughts about this IRL. People Never forget that Evolution is a Theory. But they forget that all they can come up with is a Hypothesis. They always forget that there is such a thing as a Hypothesis and that they are distinct from Theories and vastly less accepted, let alone proven or even researched. But yes, Evolution is just a Theory. Just like Gravity, all known Elements, Nuclear Fission(and Fusion), Gunpowder weaponry, and DNA. Oh, and Bacon.

Using only stock solid boosters, I can ...

I once left Kerbol's SoI with just SRBs. Then I stopped playing the demo. -
Yeah, that was my main issue with all the complaints about the level, Recoil issues aren't an issue if your EVA suit is linked to your firearm so that the recoil is canceled out. You wouldn't even need to put it on for CoM to do this(though it would be ideal). Normal Tracer rounds wouldn't work, but LED ones would. Normal gunpowder based firearms wouldn't work, but an electro-chemcial one would work better, and one that uses liquid fuel would allow you to use normal rocket LFO in theory(heck, even Monopropellent would work if it was powerful enough). I haven't seen much of the trailer or gameplay of the level, but most people are attacking the weak spots and ignoring the fact that these "weak spots" are easy to patch up with modern tech. The real issue isn't the physics of the level, or why you bring a soldier with no EVA suit training, or any of that. It's why do you have this weapon up there at all? It's not cost efficient at all, and with what we know about the MW series, is there a legitimate reason why they aren't using nuclear weapons instead of telephone poles made of wolfram? I mean, they have used chemical weapons, and nuclear weapons before, why would they obey the treaty that prevents them from weaponizing space with WMDs if they still use WMDs which are just as illegal?(according to the Geneva Convention, anyway)

The Modded Craft Repository [v0.23]
YX33A replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
How could posting info about how much "stuff" a vessel can carry be harmful to you? Not posting Payload info harms the user of your ship since they don't know much much it can lift, and thus they run the risk of crashing or running out of fuel in space. -
Pirated Weaponry(Not yet updated) or InfiniteDice's Naval Warfare(not yet released) are mods that might interest you if you want a "Huge Weapon Mod". Also Lazor Weaponry.
-
Looks cool. Dubious tactical value. Also, how do you reload it? Plus, once InfiniteDice finally releases his Naval Warfare stuff, those "Gravitas" will fall like wheat before the scythe that is a single CIWS, even if you fired them all at it perfectly with less then a second between launches. Then all one has to do is aim a 20" gun at your "Tank" and watch it weep. Not that it's needed to wait that long. Just use a Sub and a missile from the sub, and your "Gravitas" will look as useless as they actually are. Stock Weapons can't compete against even a basic modded weapon(such as this Gatling Gun), aside from looking cool.

We have idiots willing to do stupid/suicidal tasks that your people know better then to do. We can offer a different PoV on things, and we would make great space war cannon fodder. We have our own culture(well, a bunch of them), weird stories, odd music, and bizarre forms of art. We also make our own types of food here, and that might interest people.

There is of course one scientific tidbit that bugs me, or rather how often people say it's impossible, and that's Warp Drives. More Specifically the Alcubierre Drive. I could go nuts and spew my thoughts on the matter all over this thread, but that would be awkward and would likely get people in trouble for replying Tl;Dr. Simply put, it's possible, we just need to generate this "exotic matter" that has negative mass(or something), which isn't even impossible according to at least two scientists. One of them is a bit of a nutball, honestly. His name is Michio Kaku and he believes in STRING THEORY! Well, okay, that's not that bad, actually, it's weird but I don't get it. According to the Youtube Comment Section however, he is INSANE! But that's the Youtube Comment Section, so it's not fair to them to pay attention to pretty much anything said there or take it at face value. Also there this guy called NASA seems to believe in this stuff. Wait. No, sorry, a Group called NASA. They're doing research on this stuff. Maybe you've heard of them? And yes, Clarke's first law is very important here. I mean, just 'cause one guy says that E=MC2 doesn't mean he knows EVERYTHING! Plus he didn't believe Quantum Physics was going to go anywhere(called it names to boot), and here we are talking about the Alcubierre Drive which needs Quantum Physics to talk about. Also Quantum Physics is a big deal these days. Go figure. I could post links to dozens of things to help my case, but basically, all people need to see me post is this youtube video: http://youtu.be/ctjbE_zcurg. Anyway, I'll give back the soapbox, guys. Cheers.

Sorry, lost track of the thread. I'll be blunt; for you, that is school and the person yelling at you is a teacher. For me(and every last person in here who is an adult), this is not five days a week, but seven, not 6 am, usually 5 if you commute at all, and it's not your teacher, but your boss who you can't get away with responding in kind to. Or if you work in the service industry, occasionally customers as well. If you work as a staff scheduler for basically any company, that's most of the people you have to talk to. If you are a dispatcher of any kind, that's again, pretty much everyone you give work to. If you, godforbid, are a scheduler for, say, in home health care, that's not only your people you give work to, but basically everyone you are sending them to see. I wish I was exaggerating. But if you thought your teacher hated you, wait til you have a job and things to pay for. It'll either land you in jail or smarten you up to the fact that despite the fact that some people are only alive because it's illegal to kill them, pretty much everyone who isn't a close friend of yours would kill you if they could get away with it and not have to cover it up at all. Welcome to dealing with people you don't like. It sucks. You have to do it. I still have trouble with it. But nothing save for possibly suicide would rid you of the having to deal with people issue. And lets not waste our breath here. If you aren't an adult, you generally aren't going to be able to get the stuff needed to relatively painlessly off yourself. The best kids seem to know is wrists and sharp stuff. I pity the poor souls who cut their wrists. They have no clue what they are doing and it's so sad it's almost funny. I know I shouldn't make light of teen depression seeing as I am well aware how serious and all but ignored youth mental health issues are, but I just shake my head a chuckle a somewhat sad chuckle, much like I suppose the Joker would laugh if he did in "What Ever Happened To The Dark Avenger?" comic. It's somewhat funny, but you can't pull it fully out of the sadness.
