  1. Hundreds of k around ksc. Just for fun.http://i.imgur.com/Yp6FTWb.jpg
  2. Congrats! I'm very impressed it only took four attempts. It took me dozens of trys. Not even counting the many rocket designes that collapsed on the pad, or exploded before leaving atmo. Mostly I was just trying to slap parts together and see what happened without being burdened by any thought process. I was so excited by the first orbit I took a screen shot, also showing many of the previous failed attempt tracks.
  3. Some amazing and inspiring stations in this thread. I'm going to have to attempt something more elaborate. A simple space hotel, made mostly to practice docking. I'll charge millions for the kerbals to stay there and become absurdly rich.
  4. hmm, sounds great but all I get is: Error in query: request timed out .. and an OK button (but it's not ok:P)
  5. Accidental bulls-eye while testing parachute assisted rover landing.
  6. This is a crude solution, not exactly what you want, but works ok for me. It has the advantage of not being restricted by the warping height rules. I get my departing ship into orbit (or leave it on the pad), then switch to something I have on the ground (flag, ship, rover, whatever). Make a note of the now current ship's mission time and then start warping while you watch the planets spin. Switch back to your (starving, dessicated) departure crew and away you go!
  7. When .20 came out I had at least ten groups of mod parts and discovered I couldn't play the game for days (weeks in some cases) because of the lag in getting updates. I love those mod'ers and admire all the work they put in, but this is a hobby and I can't fault them for taking some time. So for now I'm mostly stock. Kethane for the huge functionality addition is one. The other is that "flight-computer-plugin-that-shall-not-be-named" because I'm hopelesly uncoordinated and could never have docked once without it (oh yes I tried, and tried, and ... ). As for the aesthetics, I like my fat orange rockets. They look all Kerbaly to me.
  8. I got to watch it first hand. Still very young but already reading my way through pop's hundreds of sci-fi books, of course I was thinking "heeere we go!". Oh well... Just re-watched this mini series, it's a great KSP instruction video: From the Earth to the Moon
  9. completely accidental but perfect landing on the helipad.
  10. awww, won't let me vote. and i made yet another login/password just for this.
