  1. Tried looking around but couldn't find any info - Are mods compatible with the .22 research system? Kethane would be the best one for it if so.
  2. Too bad this doesn't work anymore! Good investigative work everyone. The challenge with stock hinges is mostly reliability, and this seems to have solved that problem. On a side note, does anyone know of a mod that uses hinges? I've given up trying to make stock hinges that don't add 100+ parts to my spacecraft.
  3. From what I can remember it was Kerbin, Mun, Eve, Duna, Moho that had new terrain. Also Ike got brighter, which might be due to the new lighting improvements.
  4. [Operating System]: OSX 10.8 [Memory]: 16GB [ASAS Trouble (Y/N)]: No [Mods installed, pre-patch]: None, clean install [Mods installed, post-patch]: KAS, Ioncross Crew Support, Kethane [Description of problem (keep it short)]: N/A
  5. I was worried about this too, but for testing crafts such as planes and rockets, I've been using the "Revert to Spaceplane Hangar" or "Revert to Vehicle Assembly" options in the end-flight dialogue. I have found this to be way better than the previous system, because it reverts the game timer as well as the flight, so it acts as if the test flight never happened in your persistence file. However, for longer test missions (such as interplanetary tests), I created a new save file labelled "test."
  6. Anyone accomplish a mining rig on the Laythe oceans?
  7. The launcher I use for my station assembly as well as my station resupply vessels all have fairings/tanks/etc that are ejected near the station in orbit. After all those missions, it has gotten pretty exciting when I launch to a station rendezvous. Right before the circularization-to-rendezvous burn, 40 or so pieces of debris fly past my ship at 2.5km/s while I'm going about 1 km/s. One of these days something spectacular will happen!
  8. Learn docking! Seriously, you'll find hundreds of new possibilities and hours and hours of gameplay! Not to mention, it is extremely satisfying. Even using mechjeb for rendezvous + docking at first can help you visualize what is necessary before you try it on your own.
  9. I use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro as well. And L.J, I'm intrigued...

    Howdy!

Yep, I've never really gotten around to setting up a real space program, haven't gone past Dres and I haven't spent much time on the other planets. I've mostly been testing some new Dragon and Mir designs, as well as testing some mods. My goal for .21 is to have a 'modular' space program with Ioncross life support. The idea of resupply missions is exciting, especially with purpose built craft and stations. Need some ideas for naming my space agency though! The wait is agonizing but I know it'll be worth it!

    Howdy!

Been lurking since I got the game in .18, figured I should finally make an account, especially to show off those sweet, sweet badges when I start fresh in .21! So, hello everyone! I'm Evan from Seattle.
  12. How you can tell when the craft is 450km away?
