Hi I'm new as well, I think you can set your signature and avatar after a certain amount of post proving you're not a a-hole... I don't know the amount but since I'm new here but not new to forum ethics. some comments on your WP: I think the title says it all but you might want to think about dropping the general people of that sentence. Pick a font (I prefer a sans-serif) but don't mix fonts styles I looks messy. Also make a nice header img and try tweaking of different types of WP layouts that makes you distinct and still reads well. Here is an other tip I heard videos doe really well on the internet...
