  1. Yes, master. (In all seriousness, it's probably coming in 0.2 or 0.3. It depends on how hard it is to reconcile with the other features on the table.) It's certainly possible, since I already override part of the RCS fuel system. I don't use RCS on my rocket designs, so I'm not familiar with the fuel feeding behavior. What could be improved?
  2. Yes... sometimes. At very low altitudes (like when launching) the LFEs will be on at slightly higher than 50% thrust, and the LV-N will be off. At a certain altitude, the LV-N will become more efficient than the others, so it will kick into full throttle and the rest will be throttled slightly below 50%. The controller works by grouping engines together with the same specific impulse and then throttling up each group (starting with the highest) until the desired thrust is met. At full throttle, there's no difference, but this can help during ascent when you lower the throttle to balance drag and gravity losses. It could also help for landings, where you want to take advantage of high-efficiency engines for as long as possibleâ€â€and when you get to lower altitude, the high-efficiency slot will change.
  3. That's weird. Looks like a bug in the KSPEvent code. I've released a hotfix (version 0.1.1) that adds the toggle back in. I had to mimic the old functionality, so let me know if it doesn't seem to work as intended. The download link in the first post has been updated.
  4. It could happen in theory, but it would be really messy to implement that on top of the existing FuelTank class. A better idea would be to write a completely new class (like r4m0n has done in MuMechLib).
  5. Imperial units are used for a lot of American rocketryâ€â€and given how much the U.S. has done in space, it's arguable that using metric units actually falls outside the norm.
  6. That'd better be a very talented kid.
  7. No, which is one of the reasons I've modified the Kethane mod. The laser mod should work just fine. I'll release my tweaks to the Kethane mod this weekend.
  8. MajiirKerbalLib 0.2.1 (This plugin is a work in progress, and will likely change names and/or split as development continues.) MajiirKerbalLib overrides stock part classes, extending and modifying their behavior without modifying any part config files. Just install the plugin, and any parts (including mod parts) that use the stock classes will be fixed. Features: Liquid engines can be individually disabled from the right-click menu, just like atmospheric engines. Engines (both liquid and atmospheric) will automatically coordinate with each other, prioritizing engines with the highest specific impulse at that moment. (This can be toggled in the engine right-click menu.) Atmospheric engines and legacy liquid engines show specific impulse in the right-click menu. RCS fuel flow can be toggled for each fuel tank. RCS fuel tanks show remaining fuel in right-click menu. Fuel tanks (including RCS fuel tanks) will properly reactivate when a plugin refills them from empty. RCS thrusters no longer get stuck in a deactivated state. Control surfaces won't flap in vacuum. Thrust-vectoring engines won't gimbal when the engine is idle. Please let me know what other features you're interested in. I'm currently looking into roll control for thrust-vectoring engines, throttle-based engine turning, and automatic compensation for offset center-of-mass. I strongly encourage you to post bug reports and feature requests to the Github issue tracker for the project. Thanks! Download MajiirKerbalLib 0.2.1 (Source available at GitHub)
  9. The TeamSpeak client is free. I pay for the server, but it runs a whole lot more than just TeamSpeak. You might be the youngest, but there are a handful of people a year or two older than you. As I wrote on the first post, younger players are welcome.
  10. Heh, do consider cleaning up those stickies. Only the forum rules and fan art thread (maybe) really seem worthy of being there. The rest are either old news, moderator drama, or threads that aren't really any more important than others here in General.
  11. Only one way to find out. (But yes, a few of us are on. Not as many as usual, since weekends are a little slower.)
  12. Luzer Kerman flew one of my scarier designs. Fun night.
  13. Yes, and the discussion quickly turned into "you're spending waay too much, get these servers instead and solve all problems for a quarter of the price." I've previously offered the considerable bandwidth available to my server as a KSP mirrorâ€â€so I'm not particularly sympathetic to the "it's too expensive" line. [EDIT] To expand on that, I'm saying there's a decision-making problem, not a cost problem. I suspect the launch day/week slowdowns aren't considered a very big problem by Squad. That said, high server costs should be at the front of their mind, so I do hope work is underway on moving to a cheaper solution.
  14. My first Duna landing used a winged lander. It had four of the "advanced canard" parts and flew just fine. The atmosphere is thinner, but the gravity is also lowerâ€â€and the difference in atmosphere isn't nearly as big as the real difference between Earth and Mars.
  15. Somehow, I feel this xkcd is relevant. We've been doing a lot of live streamsâ€â€two to four at a timeâ€â€so there's quite a bit to see, and we've been exchanging .craft files. Also, I updated the server today, so it won't bother you on connection anymore.
  16. I've posted some guidelines on the front page. Nothing too extreme. I'm a laid-back administrator, but I do try to keep things from getting out of hand.
  17. I've played games on voice comms since I was about ten (I'm twenty now), and I found that attitude and personality are a lot more important than voice. If you can be chill and keep the shouting/screaming to a minimum, you'll fit in just fineâ€â€and that goes for older folks, too. There's occasionally some foul language, but everyone's very nice.
  18. ... Have a cookie, sir. Everyone was mostly intelligible, so I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe it's just me; I've played games with a lot of Russians and Europeans on TS/Ventrillo.
  19. I know a little bit of Spanish, if that helps. :-) Everyone on comms has been pretty nice, so you'd be welcome. We had ten or so people on tonight and had fun with challenges, live streams and a Kethane arms race. Patrick Stewart made an appearance (and I refuse to believe that it's just some guy who sounds exactly like Patrick Stewart.) We had people from the U.S., Canada, England, China and the starship USS Enterprise New Zealand. "Use the phaser, Worf."
  20. 7-8 of us are on tonight playing some challenge games and running casual streams. We're about to start a "you build it, I land it" challenge.
  21. People have been jumping on and off all day, but there are four of us online now if anyone wants to join the fun.
  22. Community TeamSpeak3 Server In space, nobody WE can hear you scream! TS3 Hostname: ksp.nabaal.net (or just click here) Download the Teamspeak 3 client here. (If the connection link above doesn't work, open the Connections menu, click Connect, and enter the hostname above in the "Server Address" field. If you're still having trouble, make sure you're using the latest version of Teamspeak3.) The community voice server is open for Kerbal engineers of all explosive talent. Come on in and celebrate your latest achievements, or ask for help. Narrate a livestream! Launch an expedition to slay the Space Kraken Cthulu! Server Guidelines Young players are welcome. We have adult and young users alike, and everyone's welcome. We care about your behavior, not the pitch of your voice. If you're calm and considerate, we'll have a great timeâ€â€and that goes for older folks, too. There's occasionally some cursing, but feel free to ask people to clean up their language or move to another channel. Use your forum name. This isn't mandatory, but it helps everyone to recognize each other. Push-to-talk is required. The server's been getting more traffic over the last few days, and voice activation is problematic with more than a handful of users. If you have a high-quality microphone and no background noise, you may request an account that lets you use voice activation. Move down a channel. If you and a group want to discuss something else, move to a different channel out of consideration for other guests. In particular, if you're discussing something unrelated to Kerbal Space Program that other users aren't interested in, this is fineâ€â€just do it in another channel. Be nice. Be considerate. This should be self-explanatory. Don't yell, sing, hold down your talk button, play music, harass other users, that kind of thing. Everyone's here to have fun. Ask a server admin. If you have a problem, complaint, or curiosity, please feel free to ask a server admin or moderator. Moderators Majiir (server administrator) Aphox Leonov JustinKingr I set up this server a little while back. I recently got a PM asking me to publicize it a little bit, so here we are. There are a few people online right now, so come join us!
  23. Why are original content creators required to license their work? Would it not be simpler (and just as effective) to say "honor any given licenses"? Ultimately, it's up to the person licensing their work to distribute it where they see fit. For some, it's a separate license file. Some projects include the license directly in the source files, since those are often used individually in derived works. I've also seen some people releasing their work in the public domain.
  24. Yeah. The B-2 is really the only thing you could call a stealth bomber.
