As I have deadly reentry, tac and far, I usually aim for 30km, tends to cause a skipping reentry but I try not go any lower in cause of spontaneous disassembly, but the downside is your spending a long time in space and could run out of resources.

Put a satelite into orbit using only SRB's The craft is tilted to help with the gravity turn. A good run will get you 450/500km Periapsis and -70/110km Apoapsis, then just wait until you get to periapsis and burn those mini SRB's The payload is 500kg~

After my first successful Jool aerocapture (my last attempt ended up with me taking a detour to eve) I was lucky enough to be in the right position to take a beautiful Joolian sunrise

First Successful Vtol, perfectly balanced and can switch between flight and hovermode without to much of a problem. In career mode so no landing gear yet.

My luckiest moment was my first trip to duna and back. On the return I couldn't bleed off enough speed during aerocapture and wasted all my fuel trying to slow down with the main thrusters. My last resort was to use the last of my RCS to circularize.. it took awhile but I managed to get them into a highly eccentric orbit.. then it was just a waiting game. Im sure Bill didnt mind spending an extra few weeks with Jeb and Bob.
