  1. Sometimes when building a large or complicated ship, I find myself using up the allotted 10 action groups rather quickly. I wind up using the Actions on the Fly mod to change action groups after launch. I would suggest adding more action groups by using the mod key. Alt+1, Alt+2, etc. This would double the available action groups and it looks like there's already room in the action groups editing window at the VAB.
  2. I built a KAS equipped orbital tug to de-orbit debris and help build space stations and I'm having all kinds of issues. I built it with the magnetic clamps, but those took too much power (didn't take into account they need power). So I EVA'd Maczor and had him replace all the magnet clamps with grappling hooks. Now either the attachment pointer doesn't show up (press H, click on a spot) until I reset KSP 2 or 3 times, or the pointer doesn't work. When I'm hovering on the part far from Maczor, it's yellow and when I get close to him it turns red and I can't attach the hook. I would think it should turn green? I'm currently de-orbiting the craft so I can add more solar panels and also try starting with grappling hooks. Am I correct in assuming I should be able to attach the grappling hook to any other craft? Or are there exceptions? Magnetic Clamp needs more power!
  3. Hi all Been lurking a bit and playing KSP ... a lot. It's the best worst game for me, open ended sandbox and lots of things to try and figure out and a lot of fun. I'm an engineer, so that makes it hard to quit playing, especially looking at all the data that MechJeb and Telemachus puts out. Data!! I've mostly been tweaking a lot of explody rockets to make them less explody and more orbital. So far I've been able to get to the Mun and back and I now have a fairly decent lift vehicle. I was starting to work on an orbiting fuel depot as a first step for a multi-ship Duna mission, but then I saw a thread here with big reusable ships ... so I figured I'd do that instead. Last night I sent up a SpaceBus to get all my Kerbals out of orbit before de-orbiting everything. Tonight the Kerbals will start construction on the Icarus 1.
