I've noticed KSP isn't very colorblind friendly. I've noticed friends and streamers alike have no clue that the orbital lines were different colors. This may seem not so much a big deal but Squad clearly made them different for a reason, colorblind people shouldn't be left out. My suggestions, -Add an option for colorblind mode that turns the lines into a grey scale (I believe colorblind people can tell different shades of grey?) -Change the projected orbital path to a dashed line instead of solid to have a more visual difference rather than just the color. Posted as discussion because I'm not colorblind and would like to hear what everyone thinks. -Marcuzzi

Isn't it easier to not push a button. Also, you can just unbind the quicksave and quickload in the settings menu when the game first loads.
-
Just noticed you posted the 4th chapter now... What happened to Bill!!!!!!!! haha, keep up the writing. These stories are fun!
-
Or, show some restraint and fail horribly with honor. Or, use the menu and feel okay with not having to repeat the whole process due to your playing time frame. Or, use the menu and keep your mouth shut about how 'easy' you 'think' the game is. (not attempting to insult you Dombi, just generalizing)

Can someone explain why I see so many people trying to make KSP harder with suggestions similar to this? If quick saving/ quick loading is to easy for you... stop using it.. -sarcasm ensuing- "Wow that means hard mode was in the game the whole time!?! If only other's knew, I must tell the world!" Obviously I'm an idiot and this isn't the case here (right?) and I must clearly be missing the point. Could someone explain? ...and I thought this thread was going to be this also

It's profound how much knowledge is gained from the often said "The gift of giving" once you fully understand what it means to give.

I agree. Those are the only 2 mods that I have ever installed and unfortunately the "Extra-planetary Launchpads" was still so new it had bugs and I never went back to it . That was a long time ago though. Oops, I lied, I have installed the mod that gives you more angles and more symmetry for your parts. (If someone could name this I'd appreciate it )

1. Stop being so greedy! 2. If she said "yes, now wait until christmas".. On christmas the gift wouldn't be as good.. 3. Gifts are supposed to be a thoughtful exchange, not a monetary item. 4. You better be getting your mother a really nice gift yourself, it will mean more to her to see a thoughtful gift from you then the entire lifespan of your computer. 5. Seriously, get a thoughtful gift. 6. I really hope you do get the computer ..I remember one year I thought the same thing was happening to me and it turned out I got something equally as awesome but completely different. I'm sure if I was being filmed my reaction to this sweet gift was probably disappointment upon first sight. Not disappointment because of the gift itself, but disappointed that "someone didn't buy me exactly want I wanted". I realized shortly after that is not a good mentality to have, it brings out poor judgement and values. ps - I never thought "someone must buy this exact item for me", I just convinced myself that my mom had bought the item for me and her denial was a bluff. boy it sucked when I unwrapped it and she wasn't bluffing.

KSP committed to multiplayer career and sandbox modes
Marcuzzi replied to blizzy78's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I stopped reading after the first few pages did little to no research before posting. KSP Multi-player was annouced for "Next Year" (2014) by Squad (The Owners) saying they have seen the proof of concept provided by the community (KMP Mod) to realize that it is a feature in demand and possible to achieve. Squad also said they will start from scratch in coding their version as to not use any code from the existing mod. Edit: Covering my tracks "Developers will have access to more powerful tools than modders, however, so the solution will not be based on code from the mod. “It would be entirely our own implementation,†Falanghe confirmed." "The plan, for now, is that Squad will begin developing the multiplayer mode sometime next year. The modes will be officially announced during the closing hours of the Kerbal Kon livestream on Friday." (Quoted from the article) -

Rowsdower, I'll tell you what.. you buy me this so I don't have to keep hitting F5 myself: and i'll get you this as a thank you

For those who haven't noticed the very right side of the schedule it has a spot for a video link for each program time. This may mean it will appear only when they are broadcasting. More likely it will mean a twitch/youtube link that will stay up long after the kon ends.

Dual monitor support
Marcuzzi replied to Seyvern's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Is there any new information on this? Has ANYONE got dual monitors to work? ..I hate to bump an old thread I have already bumped before, but since 0.23 is around the corner I figured I'll see if my internet luck has changed. If anyone can reply providing some insight I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance, Marcuzzi -
since no one has posted a picture for easy reference.. (10 seconds in google) Here is a picture showing a rocket being built, the green arrow is showing where that specific part is in the staging. On the right, those orange columns are considered your stages, with 0 being at the top and considered your last stage. (Also in this picture there is 11 stages. the 8th stage has a decoupler, and the 10th has the launching clamps, just to give you some reference on the actual pictures) So typically I like to think of it as, Stage 0 - Parachutes Stage 1 - Decoupler + Last Engines used (the engines on say a return lander) Stage 2 - Decoupler + Orbital Engines Stage 3 - Lifting Engines + SRB + SRB + MORE SRB's!!!!!!!!!!!! ( This is an example, I usually use more stages but if set-up right you can use 0 stages and make that awesome SSTOcean everyone keeps talking about ) The reason for grouping the decouplers and the engines is so you don't have to stage your empty fuel tanks, wait a half second, then stage the next engines. It just skips that middle step, I should add though that having the middle step is a good thing sometimes. Also, you can re-stage at any time by making more stages and re-grouping items just like in the VAB/SPH. Edit: Well, I got beat to the punch, but I'm sure some of this information I typed might be considered helpful, therefore it stays

The strange...er... The UKKR.. haha, I liked it! Keep up the good work

Maybe some quick fan art might inspire him. I've been looking into animation and here's just a rough sketch getting used to a tablet and the program. The lines need better smoothing.

Q: Mini KSP for Unity Editor?
Marcuzzi replied to Marcuzzi's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I understand the reasoning and why it would be illegal, thanks for confirming that I guess if what I suggested was available it would be a little to nice and allow the ability to 'steal' KSP from the Devs so to say. Which is not what I had any intention of doing. I will have to mess around some more and possibly tackle the 'very large effort' to create what my head can see yet not speak. I still think the simple version of KSP would be helpful to modders for such things like tweaking SOI influences and direction of parts (ex. having a satellite dish always face the centre of a planet) but then again if that was true someone probably would have done it by now. I was just thinking that not loading ALL of KSP and it's extras might eliminate some of the head scratching at the start. I'm no modder but I have tried a few times and having something like I suggested would have been helpful. The mods I attempted to make always were released before I finished my version, therefore I never released anything. -
I don't get it, didn't you just solve your suggestion.. If you want a 'harder' KSP with things like life support, go download the mod and make your version of KSP 'harder'.. seems straight forward.. Your game mode is what you make it. I play 'Stock Mode' and 'Kethane Mode'. In 'Stock Mode' I go for science and complete missions based on how I feel a space program would develop. Probes then manned, etc. The tech tree did take some time also (actually I don't think it's 100%) because I chose to not spam science, simple yet effective way to make the tree last longer. In 'Kethane Mode' I only have ships travel with enough fuel to the moon, then they re-fuel and go farther, with the premise being if there was no Kethane my program would only be able to reach the Mun and no farther. I understand the want for these features to be built in, but I feel that KSP should stay in it's (trying to word this so it doesn't sound bad) 'bare' state because it does allow modders to take the game in so many different directions.

Q: Mini KSP for Unity Editor?
Marcuzzi replied to Marcuzzi's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yea Vexx, I felt like the second part was unreasonable.. I guess I was attempting to ask for a non detailed super basic version. Like a sphere around another sphere with no detail (or even color). This would be for the modders, figuring out GPS, grid maps and such systems may become easier. Then transfer what is learned to KSP itself. I could be way off though. Thanks for the reply. -
New gamemode
Marcuzzi replied to mr_ducktape_man's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
This sounds almost like a 'rollercoaster tycoon' idea which seems interesting, but I feel would be more of it's own game then a mod.. or at least a mod so massive that it is basically it's own game. Either way I'd like to see a concept video to further grasp what this would become. -

Patience Marcuzzi, one of these nibbles will turn into a bite. Then you hook and reel! (bored and talking in third person to pass the time, maybe viewer 100 will have a reply for me.. eyes back on the counter)
