  1. A quick tutorial on making orbit and all the basics of rocket design you'd need to know to do just about everything. I'll be doing another quick one on landing a Kerbal easily and safely on the moon, which an emphasis on quick! I can never bring myself to watch a video that is 25-35 minutes long!
  2. Hi space enthusiasts. My mission when playing Kerbal Space Program was to have fun! I didn't want to think so much so the whole process involved no looking at number, no math and no science, just thinking of a few logical principles of how I think a rocket should work and moving from there. As such, I've started to create some tutorials based on that approach. I've seen a number of people worried about the amount of technical mumbo jumbo they might have to deal with in this game and I hope these tutorials can prove there isn't much if that is how you want to play it! For my first tutorial, I've put together basic rocket building, what you should think of when building your rocket all the way to making orbit and all that I've packed into 10 minutes. I've already used all the basic ideas in this video to get a Kerbal landed safely on the moon which will be part of my next video. If you find the video useful, please let me know and I'll get up off my behind and start doing the next one!
  3. From the beginning in this game I set out on a mission not to use any calculations to have fun (just as a matter of principle since I play games for fun, not to think!). I am from a computer science background and my good friend is from a Engineering background and both of us have had quite a bit of success using a trail and error approach and not crunching any numbers. To bring that a little further, I've started creating tutorials specifically based on understanding basic ideas and trail and error (tutorials are usually quite fast as well so you get as much information as you need as fast as you need it, or if you need to slow down a bit, there is a pause button!). I just completed the first one yesterday and you can check it out here:
