KSP != NASA I use MechJeb sometimes. Some ships just take the little extra Jeb to ascend to orbit, however all my landings have been manual and transferring to different planets. I think MechJeb works great but I don't see it as cheating since KSP IS in sandbox state, however just like what everyone else said, most of the time rockets use computer systems to maintain control

Well I did what you said, and dang it takes a while to scan :L Sadly I only found 3 Kethane and 6 small ore deposits on Kerbin

Welcome to the forums I'm sending probes with kethane sensors to Duna before I launch a mission to plant a refinery and a base there.

I deeply enjoy the Kethane mod, it has brought a whole new meaning and use for space stations, and planetary bases. However I find it somewhat difficult scanning for Kethane (and Ore) because I have to change my probes' orbit every time I go around. Why has it changed so it doesn't scan multiple rows? I thought if I placed the sensor higher up it would scan a larger area but I was wrong on that, so what do you suggest I do related to scanning planets for Kethane?

I can't seem to figure out how to use the Auger to mine ore! I've sent a probe into Kerbin orbit, scanned, found ore deposits at KSC, then I built a rover with the auger on the back (hooked up to a rototron from DR) and lowered it into the ground and set "deploy drill". Nothing happens though. I have some Ore Hexcans on the rover too. I then tried just with the auger hooked up to a hexcan and started the drill but again, nothing happens. Its above an ore deposit, I tried different depths, always keeping the auger vertical, btw theres no animation either... I have Kethane and the extraplanetary space center mod so it shows ore and kethane deposits
