I think keys to switch pages/categories in the parts list would make building friendlier once you have more than a couple mods installed. Those page buttons are kinda small. I'm thinking keys near WASD like 2,3 to switch pages and 1,4 to switch categories. And also Esc to drop the currently selected part.
