  1. Cue M. Bison: I literally acted like that the moment BERTY rebelled against Rozer... I loved the way the Zeroth Law was referenced. I can't wait for the next chapter!
  2. I did notice that, but because he was programmed with the Laws of Robotics, he should have acted to defend Jeb immediately rather than taking the mission as priority. In the chapter, he was depicted to be following the Second Law, which is to simply follow any orders, but he also defied that Law because the Second Law also states that whatever the order, he still can't allow harm to others whether through action or inaction (the First Law)... Perhaps we'll see more about this later... On a side note, in my last post I got confused on my usage of the Zeroth Law. I forgot how the First Law was defined and thought it only covered that it cannot harm a human through action, whereas I also thought the Zeroth Law covered the other half, that an AI cannot allow harm to a human through inaction. Both definitions were covered by the First Law after all, and the Zeroth Law covers the same rules but for all of humanity rather than individuals... my bad.
  3. Go to space today? Go on some grand adventure? CRASH! Sigh, I think not...
  4. Doesn't anybody know that too many secrets in a small space cause insanity? Really, if they just declassified the mission to the rest of the crew on their way to Duna, none of this would have happened. Yes, visiting other worlds is awesome, but possible alien contact? That would be the real glory for Kerbalkind... As for BERTY, he mentioned the first law, but what about the Zeroth Law? He can't allow harm, physical or otherwise, come to humanity as a whole, or simply as a group larger than the aggressors, through action or inaction. In short, with Rozer taking over and zapping Jeb, wouldn't he see this as wrong and do something about it?
  5. So, I'm new to the game and have been messing around with Saturn V-esque designs (never did make the actual lunar lander... I just added landing legs to the final stage...). On a Munar flyby test of a tweaked design, I got bored of how long it was taking even under time warp within safe speeds... Me: Uhg... this is taking too long. Maybe I could speed things up a bit... *hits time warp a few additional times* ...WAIT!!! *Pauses game* I stare in horror as my Munar module was suspended in time only a few hundred meters above the Munar surface. I look at the velocity and pale as it was moving as fast as it was high above the surface. I contemplated my choices carefully before finally glaring at the pause screen... Me: ...challenge accepted. Needless to say, Jebediah, Bill, and Bob did not return to space until their next respawn...
