Using stock parts and only one turbo jet engine

Having built a large space station it is both annoying and time consuming to control each docking port manually, and each solar panel as there are many. It would be beneficial to have the option to create action groups while the space station is in orbit. This way you could control solar panels with the press of a button.

Perhaps the sun (known as kerbol) could be orbiting a much larger star. Escaping the orbit of the sun kerbol leaves you in orbit of a larger star, which can have many star systems orbiting it.
