  1. Thanks! I was actually typing down the release thread for it and many other aircraft I developed when I saw your comment :)

    It's actually finished, I just need to work on maneuverability (You need to pull out of a dive quickly) and handling. Otherwise, it's really fun to fly, actually!

    Maybe add / extend dive brakes to slow the aircraft during a dive?

  2. I'm kinda torn on a lot of it. It looks cool, the idea seems cool for a mod. But, it is a space travel game, so we get a bunch of jet engines that will only work in the atmosphere and incapable of being an SSTO engine! I just don't get it. It's not like there is really anything to do with them, not without more mods. "Ooh look, I just landed a brand new engine on the island runway. Ok, now what? Oh right, that's all there is."

    Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of those mods, KAX, Firespitter, etc. I enjoy building planes, but it belongs in a mod, it's really outside the scope of the core game. Even the basic jet engine we have now doesn't belong in there. As far as I'm concerned the core game should be space and space related things only.

  3. I pretty much had to keep moving the engines further away until the blades didn't hit the engines at top speed.

    This is lifting a whole fuel tank, (although I think I had cut the engines at this point and the craft was falling), so I'm trying to perfect it. It's just a shame it's so big and ugly. Perhaps it's only application is something silly like this:

    It flies but is really wobbly. And they tend to fall out of the sky when you try and land like they lose grip of the air or something. It looks like during decent the turbine blades create too much drag that almost equals the lift and it doesn't recover unless you pitch forward and translate your downward momentum forwards and then it recovers.

    Nice! Now make it electrical so that it works on EVE and we might have our first EVE stock SSTO xD

  4. All I need is wings... Anyone wanna give it a go? I suggest making them hollow. Part count limit per wing is 100-150.

    How many parts is it at currently?

    So the part limit for 2 wings is 200 - 300 parts, correct?

    Does that include the elevators and rudder?

    I'd love to give it a shot!

Anyone had an issue where the plane won't roll on the runway unless you are pulling up ( s ) Funny how a panel here or there affects handling, my top speed has halved and now oscillates between 60 and 70m/s (which is fine because a top speed of 504 kmh was ridiculous), all because of little changes in wing panels.     Maybe your horizontal stabilizers are blocking the exhaust and the control surfaces move out of the way when you press ?

  6. I used to love minecraft,

    until I ran out of ideas.

    Love the things people in multiplayer build, particularly in very large servers.

    Then I moved to KSP because it has physics,

    I can finally build planes that move :D

    But still I would love to build a 747 with an pool on the upper deck in MC because I can't do it in KSP :sticktongue:
