  1. So, if it were possible for one to travel at the speed of light, and one fired a laser whilst travelling at the speed of light - would the laser beam be travelling at the same speed as you? (the speed of light)
  2. Procedural wings is a definite. It was like finding buried treasure when I discovered that pack earlier today
  3. May I present to you today the flag of the Federated States of Kerbin: The badger is our national animal. Hear it roar! Well, hear it hiss when you poke it a stick. Yes. Kebal badgers are scary. Anyway, as far as flag designs go, it's rather dull...
  4. For me, anywhere between 72 and 80km is an LKO. Just about far enough up to avoid the drag of the upper atmosphere, and not too high as to require substantially more fuel to reach the orbit.
  5. Today, I'm trying to figure out why I ever thought putting a space station in this orbit around Minmus was a good idea... For anyone interested enough in my rather boring space programme, Valrys-1,2 and 3 are Munar and Minmati (correct word?) satellites, SIMPLE satellite is a filed attempt that is slowly dragging intself into Kerbin oblvion, SS Artemis is my Kerbin space station, and Cub and Bear are still-on-the-drawing-board spaceplanes. The Minmus Orbital Station is the weirdly inclined station, and I'm attempting to dock a refueller module with it, but it's proving extremely hard to get the two orbits to even share the same orbit... Apologies if I've used any scientific terms incorrectly, I'm still very new to the game and to the application of physics in space. Thanks!
  6. KSP certainly does appeal to (slightly) older people more than, say, teenagers, because of the input-reward ratio. And because most teenagers probably think space is all about Star Wars and battles and the like. That's just my opinion, many have suggested why KSP appeals more to older people in ways far more articulate and convincingly than me! Obviously, there are a lot of younger people who play and enjoy the game, like myself - I am 16. And a bit of a newbie as well....
  7. Indeed. A great place to go if ever the nostalgia seeps in. Or maybe it's intended to show that all the Iron Kurtain has done to the Kerbunists is to render their technology obsolete?
  8. Hello guys and girls! I recently discovered the KSP forums in the last few weeks after searching for various mods, and after quite a bit of lurking, decided to bite the bullet and sign up. I mean, I figured you lot don't bite. Unless you're the Space Kraken in disguise. Hmmnn.... I only found out about KSP in the last month or so, and shamelessly since then I've been hooked! Many people love the game for the way it presents a challenge whilst still being fun to play; and that's certainly been true for me. As far as achievements go, being able to land on the Mun and Minmus, being able to achieve various orbits around Kerbin and the two aforementioned moons, and inadvertently sending a Mun mission into Kerbol orbit are my only claims to fame! Interplantery missions, rendezvousing, and some aspects of spaceplanes still baffle me for now, but I'm oping to learn! A bit about me: I'm a normal guy from London, Havering specifically if any of you happen to know the city. As for the badgers, well, I'd imagine that if badgers existed on Kerbin, the Kerbals would've sent a fair few into space by now - because what animal could be more useful for observing the effects of space on biology? Besides, who knows, Kerbals may have evolved from badgers....somehow. (Getting ready to banned for blasphemy) Well, I've wittered on for long enough now.... here's to many happy hours discussing KSP!
