  1. Considering the response to the drop tank, perhaps it would be a good idea to replace the decoupler with something that won't detach, simply to avoid criticism and have it be a "true SSTO." EDIT: Another idea might be to add an extra non-drop-tank (if the engines could support it) to give it a bit more range.

So... if I'm understanding this right, the only barrier to making a working space elevator in KSP is the absence of something that can winch a vehicle up or down a rope (a minor problem), and more importantly, the practical problems with computers. In other words, the real barrier is just bugginess with objects that are both in space and in atmosphere at the same time. Is that correct?
  3. Love all these ships... I have to say, pa1983's SSTOs are awesome... but they don't look that great. These, on the other hand, look incredible. Great work! +rep

  5. Please tell me you're joking... Planets and orbital dynamics are not implemented by Unity, they're implemented by Squad. Besides, if any game engine did not support tilting objects in the game, it wouldn't be usable.
  6. While I don't know much about Unity, I'm pretty sure that planets are not part of Unity but rather part of Squad's programming... and also that if any game engine did not support tilting models in game environments, nobody would ever use it.
  7. I am completely baffled by why any 'hacktivists' would want to screw around with KSP's forums... You have to wonder if they thought we were a real space agency... if there were real astronauts being treated this way there would be a big problem
  8. So we can just change the textures and add custom logos? And if we make the texture file for the existing letters bigger will it expand the part? I would think that if I were to modify the texture for one of your letters, it would just be cut off beyond the original size of the part...? Or will the part expand to fit the texture?
  9. I love this little bot! I don't know of a way to paint it either... if I knew how to make mods I would already have made a mod for painting things, but unfortunately I don't... I have to agree that the best way to make it green would be to edit the textures. Good luck!
  10. I tried the same thing... problem is, I ran out of fuel right at the essential moment... I ended up holding down H to use the RCS thrusters for about 10 minutes straight
