  1. So do I need to put the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder INSIDE the GameData folder, or do the contents of the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder (i.e., the Internals, Parts, Plugins, and other folders) need to be merged with the already existing Internals, Parts, Plugins, etc. folders already inside the GameData folder? EDIT: I just tried both, and placing the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder inside GameData works. Several new Hex Cans showed up in the parts list but I still only have one launchpad and that's Launchpad2. Launchpad "one" still does not show up, even though the part folder for it is present in the Parts folder. Also, the reason I installed it wrong is because the instructions in the readme file are not helpful at all. They read "Copy the contents of the GameData folder into KSP's GameData folder." There is no GameData folder inside the zip file, it's just the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder, and the contents of the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder has folders that have the same names as the folders inside Kerbal's GameData folder, so without knowing that it's okay to put the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder inside GameData I can only assume that I have to put the files in ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads/Internals into the KSP/Internals folder and so on. Thank you for letting me know I can copy the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads folder into the GameData folder, that saved a lot of headache.
  2. Every time I install EL I have to go into each part.cfg file and change the texture and model paths because they are all set to ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads/Parts/(partname)/(partname) and this is so annoying. I have to take out the ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads/ part because, of course, I DO NOT name the folder that KSP is installed in as "ExtraplanetaryLaunchpads". Please fix this. Also, this has caused the Launchpad to never show up in the list of parts. I finally got everything else to show up, even the Launchpad2, but the normal Launchpad never shows up. Could someone provide me their Launchpad part folder so I could get it working? Thank you.
  3. Tex, what do you mean? Do you mean turning the space plane 90 degrees so that it's perpendicular to the rocket? Oh my god you're a genius. Let me try that. Edit: I tried everything and nothing worked, except transplanting the ship file into the VAB. Doing that caused no instability during liftoff at all. It's like the VAB disables lift or something. Thanks guys, I finally got the P. Squirrelly McStudleycraft into space and did a horrible attempt at docking. I have to seriously rethink my RCS placement lol
  4. Thank you for your suggestion. I'll give it a try with some other space plane designs. I wanted this one in space cause it looks cool but I don't think it's very stable in atmospheric flight. I've seen some youtube videos where people launch their space planes into orbit like I'm attempting to and it works, but they don't explain how they did it. It seems like I just won't be able to get this plane design into space.
  5. I'm wanting to create a space carrier that will ferry smaller space planes around the solar system but I'm having trouble getting the space plane into orbit. Just a couple km off the ground the entire launch vehicle tips over cause the space plane has lift-generating parts, right? Pretty easy concept. Well, I tried to correct that by adding enough wing parts to the back to move the center of lift just behind the center of mass so it doesn't tip over (which looks ridiculous), but it still tips over and does flips. I assume that this is because the center of mass is shifting forward as the fuel is being consumed, so this means that even if this somehow kept the space plane from causing too much lift up front then the huge wing structures in the back would eventually cause it to flip the other direction. Any suggestions on how I get this thing into space without flying it (because the space plane was built to look cool, not function as a plane in an atmosphere)? Here is my ridiculous contraption. http://i.imgur.com/LsVw6yr.jpg
