  1. My spanish is a little rough but I'm pretty sure he says "Mother" (In Kerbal of course) and never actually curses when he caught in the wire.
  2. My biggest gripe is that the initial event relating to the big bang is wrong. The universe is homogeneous and isotropic, so why show an image that clearly has the properties of an explosion, complete with a shock wave and core? Doing so would have large and drastic effects on our universe and the CMBR.
  3. Mine is giddily sitting in the cockpit of a brand spanking new SSTO equipped with the latest RAPIER engines, wondering why he hasn't moved in the past 18 hours. Poor little guy is gonna be stuck there until tonight too.
  4. I would totally throw down $30 for a "KSP: The Klassics" edition.
  5. Seriously. Anybody care to calculate its velocity at periapsis?
  6. Spaceflight article on the situation: http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2013/12/iss-suffers-coolant-loop-issue-spacewalks-possible/ Current ammonia temps and flow rates: http://spacestationlive.jsc.nasa.gov/displays/spartanDisplay2.html
  7. I kill my horizontal and then use rcs for horizontal movement. This prevents me from discovering that I am moving sideways at 30m/s about 10 meters off of the ground. Not that I didn't learn that the hard way or anything...
  8. Its amazing to think of what a modern day capsule would look like and how (relatively) easy it would be to fly it.
  9. This is why I love this site. I just spent the past 30 minutes researching this. Yes, they can be Jupiter size, albiet ALOT denser though and they would not be supporting a solar system the likes of Kerbol. It would be interesting to look at the orbital dynamics of Kerbol and Jool in a true N-body sytem. I wonder if the actual orbital center would lie outside of the Kerbol's surface.
  10. :Looks around: Really? Nobody has said it yet? Fine :mumble mumble:, I'll say it: Lagrange Points. There, done, now we can move on to more productive comments.
  11. This. With patch conics if you miss an SOI then off into nothingness you go. But it seems as long as you did the nessecary station keeping it would work.
  12. I would learn the secrets of their economy/political system that allows them to build wonderfully expensive and silly space craft with zero public backlash. Although I'm concerned the answer might resemble Soviet Russia or North Korea.
  13. Discovery taking off in '88. I remember watching and rewatching it for 3 hours straight.
  14. Excuse my ignorance here, but if you matched your orbit EXACTLY with Kerbin's orbit, wouldn't you also have zero relative velocity, in effect making L4 and L5 span the entirety of Kerbin's orbit?
  15. Mechjeb (if used) gets attached to the command pod. Made that mistake one too many times.
  16. Wondering if designing a rocket that had engines both on top (pull) and on the bottom (push) would help with stability on taller rockets? It seems that it would help by reducing the stress being put on the joints by not forcing the joints to be stretched or compressed. Had anybody tried this?
  17. But wouldn't it be awesome if in career mode you got money back (assuming there is money) for returning parts back to KSP for recycling?
