I searched the documentation but didn't see anything about rotation direction. Is one of the descriptors here: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Kerbin a description of the spin direction?

After reading a bunch of tutorials, it seems to be the general consensus that Kerbin, like Earth, has an easterly rotation and that's why we rotate to the east to achieve orbit. I've looked around, but haven't found any documentation pointing out how we know this to be the case. Are the rotations of the bodies noted somewhere or is just by trial and error? Thanks
